Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's world, one of the main issue is environmental. Some people believe that it mostly occure due to low number of specific species of animals and palnts, while other argue that, there is alot of other factors which contribute to cause environmental problems in the world. It this essay, i will expalin all these opinion of individuals and give my own opinion at the end.
One the first hand, some persons think that climate change of our generation is decrease in numbers of certain species. Animals and palnts contibute to enhace the quality of surrounding. it improve our air quality and protect us from inhaling dust particles which can cause certain health problems such as asthma. For instance, a Islamabad the most green area of pakistan which have different types of plants and living creatures can cause low amount of environs problems as compare to lahore which has high amount of atmospheric concers.
On the other hand, other people believe that there are other important environmental problems which should be addressed firstly such as pollution. Pollution is nowadays one of the main problems which the world are facing currently. For example, noise pollution, which cause alot of problems to the humans. It affect their mental health. Additionaly, carbon dioxide, which releases from automobiles can cause alot of health problems such as copd.
In my opinion, other factors such as pollution is the main factor which government should adressed first by inovation of e mobiles on road.
In conclusion, plants and animals contribute also for environmental problems but others problems shold adreesed first.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views and state a clear preference for addressing pollution first: “other factors such as pollution is the main factor.” The two body paragraphs also include relevant examples, including the contrast between Islamabad and Lahore and the effects of noise and vehicle emissions. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The first view is framed as a claim that species loss causes environmental problems, but the explanation mainly describes benefits of plants and animals rather than showing how their decline creates wider environmental damage. The second view focuses on pollution, with little comparison to other major problems. Develop each side with a clearer cause-and-effect explanation, and make your final position more precise and consistent with the examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. “On the other hand” helps signal the shift between perspectives, and the examples generally appear beside the ideas they support. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from species decline to air quality and then to a city comparison without fully explaining the links. Some transitions and references are mechanical or unclear, and the final opinion and conclusion repeat the same point rather than bringing the discussion together. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the claim it illustrates; also ensure pronouns such as “it” have an unmistakable reference.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant environmental vocabulary, including “species,” “climate change,” “pollution,” “carbon dioxide,” and “mental health,” so the topic is generally identifiable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to understand, such as “climate change … is decrease in numbers,” “atmospheric concers,” and “innovation of e mobiles.” Spelling errors, including “palnts,” “occure,” and “adreesed,” are also noticeable. Aim for accurate, natural phrases rather than attempting expressions whose meaning is unclear. Learning collocations such as “loss of biodiversity,” “air pollution,” and “introduce electric vehicles” would help you express your ideas more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a relative clause in “noise pollution, which cause alot of problems” and a reason clause beginning “which can cause.” However, complex sentences are often not controlled successfully, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “one of the main issue is environmental” has incorrect number and an incomplete noun phrase, while “the world are facing” has subject–verb disagreement. “It improve our air quality” also needs agreement between the subject and verb. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a clear subject, verb, and complete meaning.
