Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify both views: species loss is linked to damage to the natural balance, while pollution and global warming are presented as threats to people. The examples of bees and polluted air in Lahore and Faisalabad are relevant, and “we must protect them” hints at a position. However, the response addresses the task only partially: your own opinion is not clearly stated or explained, and neither view is developed beyond brief claims and examples. The discussion of other environmental problems is especially limited, with no explanation of global warming. The response also falls short of the required minimum length, leaving little space to develop reasons and support. Extend each side with explanation and make your judgement explicit in a conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall arrangement: an introduction followed by one paragraph for each view. The signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the contrast, and examples are placed alongside the relevant claims. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and some links are unclear or mechanically joined, as in “when species disappears the natural balance is damage For example”. The final paragraph ends without a conclusion, so the discussion does not reach a clear overall resolution. Use full stops to separate claims from examples, add linking phrases that show cause and result, and finish with a short paragraph stating which environmental problem you consider most serious.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “natural balance”, “pollination”, “global warming”, “pollution” and “breathing”. These terms make the main subject understandable, and the examples show an attempt to use specific language rather than relying entirely on general words. However, the range is limited and several spelling or word-choice errors make reading difficult, such as “partical specise”, “air pullution” and “one opinion” where the intended meaning is unclear. Some phrases are also imprecise, including “the most problem” and “more importants problem”. Build a reliable set of environmental collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully; this will make your ideas clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and a more complex conditional example: “if bees disappear … the production of fruit and vegetable will decrease”. This shows an effort to connect ideas through subordinate clauses. However, the range remains limited, and frequent errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and punctuation sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “when species disappears the natural balance is damage” has problems with subject–verb agreement and verb form, while “this is because there problem of directly human health” is not a complete, well-formed explanation. Several sentences also run together without clear punctuation. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add clauses using “because”, “when” and “if”, checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
