Student answer (Band 5.5)

Today's entertainment industry is showcasing a fictional voilance ,some people believe that it has no social harm while other argue that it promotes the voilent conduct.I believe that it increases combative and aggressive behaviour in hummans.

People's have packed schedule during whole week and on weekends they like to spend their leisure time by watching movies with their families and kids. For instance super heros movies fascinates the kids and some adults like to watch such movies as well ,these fiction based movies always ends at positive message where hero take care of people and save the world from monsters by fieghting with them such action films leaves an overlasting effect on child brains and they start to think like that as well. Such films peomotes empathy and encourages child to do good deeds. That is the reason why some people believe that savage behaviour in films has harmless impact on society.

On the contrary mostly adult consumes those films that show extreme voilence. For example Bollywood industry make a large number of action films that millions of people watch and trying to act like them. They promotes fighting over small dispute that has negative impact on adult brain. They encourages aggressive mindset.Secondly people with some phclogical issue also get effected by such content.

I believe that we should not promot such films. It has bad influence on adults mind and they are the future of nation, what they watch today they will try to implment in real life which is not positive aspect of consuming such entertainment. They should consumes positive content. These films should be banned for the sake of development of younge mind and should not be promote on international levels.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and state your own position clearly: you explain why some regard superhero films as harmless, then argue that violent films can encourage aggression, concluding that they should be restricted. The examples of children watching superhero films and Bollywood action films are relevant to the discussion. However, the two sides are not developed equally. The claim that fictional violence can be harmless is weakened by the suggestion that it leaves an “overlasting effect” on children, without clarifying how that supports the harmless view. The opposing argument also needs more explanation of how viewing leads to real-world behaviour. Develop each view with a clearer chain of reasoning and a specific, relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting the harmless-entertainment view, a contrasting paragraph, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “For instance,” “On the contrary,” and “Secondly” help signal relationships between ideas. However, some progression is difficult to follow within paragraphs. In the second paragraph, the discussion moves from family viewing to positive messages, then to lasting effects on children, which appears to conflict with the claim that the films are harmless. Some references, such as “They” in the discussion of films and viewers, are not always clear. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s main point and link each example explicitly to that point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “fictional violence,” “aggressive behaviour,” “leisure time,” and “negative impact,” and these choices make the subject clear. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are frequent enough to make the writing less fluent to read: examples include “voilance,” “voilent,” “fieghting,” “peomotes,” and “phclogical.” Some collocations are also unnatural, such as “packed schedule during whole week,” “adult brain,” and “promot such films.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. A more controlled range of precise terms—such as “violent content,” “aggressive conduct,” and “influence viewers”—would help express your ideas more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, including the sentence beginning “For instance” and the contrast introduced by “On the contrary.” However, errors in agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries occur throughout and sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “People's have packed schedule” has incorrect plural and possessive forms, while “super heros movies fascinates” has a plural subject with a singular verb. The long sentence about superhero films joins several ideas without clear punctuation, and “they should consumes” has an incorrect verb form. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and divide long sentences into shorter, complete units while retaining some accurate complex sentences.
