Student answer (Band 5.0)

Fictional violence potrayed on television is harmless entertainment according to some people because in the recent few years this type of content is more common in the world while some people argued that these type of content can encourages towards violent behaviour.Personally, i believe that this type of content makes a negative effect on the society and the people behaviours.

To begin with, firstly talked about those people who said fictional violence is only limited to source of entertainment other that this it not create any other impact on the society.according to them it is only a source of lesiure and pleasure for the environment because they think that if someone watch any crime realted series or movie on television it will be limited only a source of entertainment but in fact most of the time it can lead towards violent behaviour.

However, there are some other people of the society who said that these types of content can encourage someone for a harmful or a violent behaviour such as in the past we have seen soo many news realted to robbery like the robbers attempt a robbery at banks inspired through a money heist series which was a spanish series in which few people do robbery at different banks so these types of incidents are more commonly repored nowadys because the viewrs are attracted towards these ideas rather than only enjoying the source of entertainment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You present a relevant opinion—that fictional violence can negatively affect society—and you include a specific example involving robbery and the series Money Heist. However, the discussion of the harmless-entertainment view is brief and mostly reports what its supporters think, without explaining why they believe fictional content does not influence viewers. Your own position is stated in the introduction, but the conclusion is cut off (“In conculsion, althought fictional viole”), so the response does not finish its argument or clearly summarise both sides. The response is also 9 words below the required minimum. Develop each view with a reason and an example, then complete the conclusion to address the whole question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding paragraph is begun, so there is an attempt to organise the discussion around the task. The contrast marker “However” helps signal the shift to the opposing view. Nevertheless, progression is difficult to follow because the first body paragraph begins awkwardly with “To begin with, firstly talked about,” and several ideas run together in long sentences. Linking phrases such as “because,” “but,” and “so” are repeated rather than used to show precise relationships. The final paragraph ends mid-sentence, leaving the overall structure incomplete. Use clear topic sentences, divide explanations from examples, and finish with a concise conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “fictional violence,” “violent behaviour,” “robbery,” and “source of entertainment,” and the Money Heist example makes the subject clear. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the meaning less natural: “makes a negative effect” and “encourage someone for a harmful” do not express the intended ideas idiomatically. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “potrayed,” “lesiure,” “repored,” and “viewrs.” Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general phrases such as “these types of content” with specific references to television violence or crime dramas would also improve clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use subordinate clauses to explain reasons, for example, “because they think that if someone watch any crime…” However, these complex structures are often faulty, and errors can make the reader work to understand the point. Examples include “these type of content can encourages,” “if someone watch,” and “it will be limited only a source,” which show problems with agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly after full stops. Build accuracy first with clear subject–verb patterns, then combine ideas using one well-controlled subordinate clause at a time. Proofread each sentence for agreement and complete sentence boundaries.
