Student answer (Band 6.0)
The film industry is experiencing new ideas day by day. producers are making a lot of movies which are related to watch. In many films, fictional violence must be included.
From the audience, Some people believed that fictional violence showing on television screen has resulting no affect on people who are watching it. But some people disagree and think that it would be the cause to increase the violent behavior in society. I would discuss both views and with my own experience, I would join one side.
Firstly, I am going to talk about the people who think that fictional violence is harmless entertainment. One day, I was watching a movie with my friend which contain violence. when violence scenes came, my friend got excited and portray like that he extremely wanted to become a hero in real life who's beating villain in movie. That's thing surprised me. I thought my friend was in over imagining mood in excitement.
Secondly, I would talk about people who disagree with first argument of some audience. after watching a movie with friend, we both decided to go market to some outing. During walking, My friend experience a collision with some stranger. He started argue with stranger man and in some minutes, both was having a fight with each other. I dealt it very hardly.
To sum up, I would join that side who disagree to make a violence film because it puts a bad affect on society and people

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is quite limited. The personal anecdotes provided are somewhat anecdotal and lack a broader analytical perspective on the societal impact of media violence. Furthermore, the response is slightly under the 250-word minimum, which impacts the depth of the discussion. To improve, you should expand your arguments with more general reasoning rather than relying solely on personal stories, and ensure you meet the minimum word count to allow for a more thorough exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as 'That's thing surprised me' or 'I dealt it very hardly'. The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs. While there is an attempt to use linking words like 'Firstly' and 'Secondly', the overall flow is hindered by awkward phrasing and a lack of sophisticated transitions between sentences. Improving your use of cohesive devices will help your ideas connect more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'related to watch', 'over imagining mood', and 'collision with some stranger'. These errors occasionally make the meaning slightly unclear. To reach a higher band, you need to move beyond simple vocabulary and attempt to use more precise, academic language. Focus on learning collocations (words that naturally go together) and synonyms for common words to add variety and precision to your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('Some people believed', 'both was having'), incorrect verb tenses, and awkward sentence structures. While the meaning is generally understandable, the errors are frequent and persistent throughout the text. There is a limited range of complex sentence structures, and those that are attempted often contain errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions, before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
