Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many individuals believe that fictional violence scenes displayed on television are harmless enjoyment. However, others suggest that violent scenes develop aggressive behavior in many people. In my opinion, violent movies should be prohibited for children due to negative impact on kids' mental health.
On the one hand, think that fictional movies provide entertainment, enjoyment, and relaxation. Mostly people have hectic routines, usually busy in their professions. They preferred to watch fictional movies in their spare time for mental relaxation. They just consider the content of the movie enjoyment in their leisure time. Furthermore, violent movies mostly carry a moral lesson. Many criminals are subjected to courts for the assignment of strict punishment. As a result, people can learn how justice prevails in societies.
On the other hand, argue that violent content on TV would be detrimental for young children. Nowadays a lot of children have aggressive behavior in the academic world as well as in their homes. Furthermore, young children try to implement the unrealistic stories in their lives. The aggressive behavior could indulge them in various criminal activities. In my opinion, violent content should be banned for the immature and emotionally unstable people.
In conclusion, some people consider violent movies a leisure and relaxation and a lesson-able activity, while some suggest they are a detrimental activity, especially for children. In my point of view, parents should do strict check and balance on childere

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the essay is under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of development for the arguments presented. While the ideas are relevant, they are somewhat underdeveloped; for instance, the point about 'moral lessons' in violent movies could be expanded with a concrete example. The conclusion is also incomplete, cutting off mid-sentence, which prevents a full summary of the position. To improve, ensure you meet the word count by elaborating on your points with specific examples and ensure your conclusion is fully articulated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand,' 'On the other hand,' and 'Furthermore' are used to signal transitions between ideas. However, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow is sometimes mechanical. The abrupt ending significantly impacts the overall coherence of the final paragraph. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your concluding paragraph provides a cohesive summary of the entire argument rather than ending mid-sentence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'detrimental' and 'immature,' which are used correctly. However, there are instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'lesson-able activity' and 'do strict check and balance.' Spelling errors like 'childere' also occur. To improve, focus on using more natural collocations and ensure that your word choices are precise and contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as missing subjects ('think that fictional movies...' instead of 'I think...') and incorrect verb forms ('They preferred to watch' instead of 'They prefer'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the incomplete final sentence is a significant error. To improve, practice subject-verb agreement and ensure that all sentences are complete and grammatically sound. Proofreading for minor slips in tense and article usage will also help raise your score.
