Student answer (Band 5.5)
Theatre and Drama plays paramount role in the contemporary society. Many of the individuals believe that scripted T.V is harmless source of entertainment. However, some opposes this notion and think that it encourages violent behavior. I partially agree with this statement as fictional stories isa double-edged sword it is good for entertaining the audience , pass time for boredom and it also manipulate citizens to do crime.
To commence with, many movies and web series showed action, brutally violent scenes which may influence younger generation to involve in cybercrime, bullying and ragging in schools as well as in university if someone harm their position, egoistic nature publically. Furthermore, after watching thriller and crime portrayed dramas unemployment youth initiates their involvement in underground world as they are having responsibilities to earn wages to fulfill needs of family and money for survival.
On the flip side, it is source of entertainment by watching suspense and thrilling action television serial to pass out boring period and catch up something valuable with keen interest as many people loved movies with mafia violence script because they wants to know how this work actually handle and going on. Epitome, legal authorities should raise awareness among citizen of the country by showing actual picture of working condition of the VFX media and how things portray in the sets of multimedia to protect today youth from violence.
In the conclusion, although fictional movies which having violent scenes are harmless entertainment, it may initiates numerous disputes in the nation and encourage brutal behavioral act among people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the link between watching crime dramas and unemployment leading to criminal activity is asserted rather than logically explained. The conclusion is a bit contradictory, as it labels the content as 'harmless' while simultaneously acknowledging it initiates disputes. To reach a higher band, you need to provide more nuanced support for your arguments and ensure your position remains consistent throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Furthermore', and 'On the flip side'. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Epitome' used to start the final paragraph, which is not a standard cohesive marker. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, making some sentences difficult to follow. Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking words will help improve the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'paramount', 'contemporary', and 'double-edged sword'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'scripted T.V is harmless source' (missing articles), 'unemployment youth' (should be 'unemployed youth'), and 'pass out boring period' (incorrect idiom). These errors occasionally impede the precision of your argument. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise academic collocations would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly regarding subject-verb agreement ('some opposes', 'movies which having'), article usage, and pluralization ('citizen' instead of 'citizens'). These errors are noticeable and occur throughout the text. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of these slips prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, especially verb forms and articles, is essential.
