Student answer (Band 5.5)
Without any iota of doubt, nowadays, there are many things available for entertainment and it depends on person's perspective which is good or bad. Few individuals believe that the imagination destruction represented on telecommunication is good, however, some are not agree with this and suppose that it promotes harmful activities. This essay will not only discuss both views but also opinion.
One is one hand, these types of activities influence person's mind and create the illusion of crime in mind. To explain it more, many residents like to watch action and thriller movies that include content related to crime, rape, robbery and many other brain disturbing activities. However, sometimes it encourage individuals to do that activity that they watched in any web series or movie. For example, Money heist is most popular web series in today's world, it actually related to group of robbers, who stole a bank in Spain. Many people watched this and try to do robbery because everything that used in robbery and show criminal activities. Many people start doing illegal activities after watching movies.
On the other hand, before starting of any film or web series directors firstly shows the disclaimer about the content available in the movie. To justify it more, most of the movie making industries shoot their content by taking care of preference of public and make series that are for everyone. But, sometimes few people afraid from some violent content. So, taking care about every person likes and dislikes, they telecast the content and also give the disclaimer. For instance, if the movie is 18+, producers firstly write in disclaimer that that movie is not for kids and write about the things in that film like drugs, violent activity and many other things. So, it is person choice to watch that content or not.
In my opinion, I think that it depends on public, what kind of content they choose to watch and everything about the movies are launched in trailer of film and disclaimer also available for that.
In conclusion, these types of activities influence person's mind and create the illusion of crime in mind, however, directors firstly shows the disclaimer about the content available in the movie, so it is upon public to watch that content or not. I believe that it depends on public, what kind of content they choose to watch.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The essay addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. The argument regarding the negative influence of media is repetitive, and the counter-argument relies heavily on the concept of 'disclaimers' without exploring the deeper psychological or societal implications of media violence. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments lack depth and nuance. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the 'why' and 'how' behind these viewpoints rather than simply stating that content exists and people choose to watch it.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive transitions. While you use cohesive devices like 'On the one hand' and 'In conclusion', the internal structure of the paragraphs is sometimes disjointed. For example, the transition between the mention of 'Money Heist' and the general claim about illegal activities is abrupt. Additionally, the conclusion merely restates the body paragraphs without synthesizing the arguments effectively. Improving the use of referencing and ensuring that each sentence builds logically upon the previous one will enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of unnatural word choices, such as 'imagination destruction' instead of 'fictional violence' and 'telecommunication' instead of 'television'. Phrases like 'brain disturbing activities' are non-standard and imprecise. You rely on a limited set of words, which restricts your ability to convey complex ideas clearly. To improve, focus on learning collocations and more academic terminology related to media and social behavior, and ensure that your word choices are contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('directors firstly shows'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading, such as 'some are not agree with this' instead of 'some do not agree'. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty or contain punctuation errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of auxiliary verbs, before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
