Student answer (Band 5.0)

Entertainment in different ways is being telecast nowadays on alternative platforms. Fictional violence portrayed on television is okay a source of entertainment as some think it is a source to increase violence. I agree with both the perspective and will be discussed in upcoming paragraphs along with relevant examples.

To conclude, both arguments plays vital role is describing their points but watching something online should only be the source of entertainment and nothing else.

According to the first school of thought, nowadays it is the trend of action movies among various aged groups as a source of entertainment. Some people believe this as a source of motivation for keeping themselves healthy while they watch their favourite hero doing action in the movie and seeing them having robust physique. For example, watching movie like sports, judo, karate also encourage them to learn these as source of self defence on various situations.

According to the second school of thought, while watching violence on televisions encourage violent behaviour in many children. In their starting age if they watch these shows on these platforms while they are not in the stage where they can predict that the scenes are fake or genuine. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to address all parts of the task by discussing both views on fictional television violence and giving an opinion, meeting the minimum length requirement. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat confused. For instance, the introduction places the thesis statement awkwardly, and the conclusion appears prematurely at the beginning of the body section. The arguments are presented, such as the idea that action movies encourage fitness or self-defense, but they remain under-developed and lack extension with robust examples. The student's position is discernible, but the overall organization and progression of task-related ideas fit best at Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.5

Coherence and cohesion are severely compromised by poor paragraph sequencing and placement. The student places a concluding sentence ("To conclude, both arguments plays vital role...") right after the introduction, before any body paragraphs have even appeared. While some cohesive devices are used, such as "According to the first school of thought" and "Moreover," referencing is frequently unclear, and the overall structural arrangement lacks logical progression. Paragraphing is used incorrectly, as the main ideas and conclusions are jumbled in their sequence. These issues place the response firmly at Band 4.5.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student demonstrates a limited, basic range of vocabulary with frequent errors in word choice and collocation. Examples include phrases like "Entertainment in different ways is being telecast nowadays on alternative platforms" and "makes them perpetrates of crime," which show a lack of control over precise terminology. There are also noticeable awkward expressions such as "in their starting age" instead of childhood. Although the vocabulary is sufficient to convey a basic message, the frequent lexical inaccuracies and unnatural phrasing restrict the score to Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The text displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, and attempts at complex sentences frequently result in serious structural errors and fragmented syntax. Examples include subject-verb agreement errors like "both arguments plays vital role is describing" and confusing dependent clauses such as "while they are not in the stage where they can predict that the scenes are fake or genuine." Punctuation and sentence boundaries are poorly managed, causing frequent difficulties for the reader. Due to the high density of grammatical errors and lack of error-free complex structures, a score of 4.5 is appropriate.
