Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people believe watching voilence content on television doesn't cause any harm and is just for entertainment where as other thinks it can also reflect in a persons behaviour. Almost everyone in todays world knows things shown in TV are not real and just for story telling. However, we are clueless about the psychology of another human which may lead to dangerous actions and i completely agree with the latter statement.
Eventhough with the accessibility and nature of human kind, nowdays every little detail of shooting are shared as behind the scene and story telling by the respective actors which helps the consumer distinguish between real world and reel world. In addition, thesedays a viewers closely follow the movies and takes the actor as just a character and not as their own personality. For example, the film joker has a lot of violence contain but the actor won a oscar award for his acting as people loved him for his acting and the way he potrayed the character.
Although most of the people know whats shown on the TV is jist a foreplay some might take it otherway and learn just a bad stuff. When a person has a phychological mindset they mostly take up the detrimental concept and try to do it in real which lead to violence. For example, there are many case in India with similar pattern as shown in films.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response attempts to discuss both views regarding fictional television violence and provides a clear personal stance in the introduction. However, the task achievement is hindered significantly by two factors. First, the response is incomplete, cutting off abruptly in the final paragraph ('In conclusion,...'), which prevents full development of the conclusion. Second, the Length Check confirms that the text contains only 236 words, falling short of the mandatory 250-word minimum. Consequently, the ideas remain underdeveloped, particularly regarding the opposing view, and the lack of a proper conclusion prevents the response from fully addressing all parts of the task. These limitations place the performance at a Band 5.0 level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates some overall organisation, introducing the topic and contrasting views in the first paragraph, followed by body paragraphs with specific examples such as the film 'Joker'. However, paragraphing is compromised by the abrupt truncation of the conclusion. Cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or inaccurate, such as using 'where as other thinks', 'Eventhough', and 'thesedays a viewers'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical progression suffers due to abrupt transitions between sentences and the lack of a concluding summary. Overall, the cohesion is inadequate for higher bands, fitting the descriptors for a Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common phrases like 'behind the scene', 'psychological mindset', and 'detrimental concept'. However, there are numerous spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'voilence' instead of 'violence', 'todays' instead of 'today's', 'potrayed' instead of 'portrayed', 'jist' instead of 'just', 'foreplay' (used incorrectly for foretaste or prelude), and 'phychological' instead of 'psychological'. These errors, alongside issues with word form and collocation, cause some distraction for the reader and reflect a Band 5.0 vocabulary profile.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar and punctuation is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('other thinks', 'a viewers', 'there are many case'), missing articles ('an oscar award', 'with similar pattern'), and punctuation errors like run-on sentences ('...just for entertainment where as other thinks...'). Although the meaning can mostly be discerned despite these errors, the high frequency of inaccurate complex structures means that error-free sentences are not in the majority, aligning with the Band 5.0 descriptors.
