Student answer (Band 5.0)
Ever since television came into existance it has become so popular.every person whether it is and older person or a child they all love to watch television in the free time.but their is a debate going on sinve then about wheter the violence scenes that are totally fictional effect our society negatvely.Although television is purely for entertainment purpose but their are both advantages and diadvantages for everthing including television so lets look into them and decide.
On one hand are the pros of telesvision, like television is most popular among house wifes because once they are done with their work they enjoy their favourite dramas in their free time to pass their time.Childern after coming from school or after playing also like to enjy watching cartoons.Elderly people especially those who have retired also like to watch televison.Even people who work like to see television so they can relac.People love to watch televison because it relaxs their mind and give them a break from reality and it is very entertaing.
On the other hand, their are many cons of television aswell such as,many people become very invested in the drama and start living in it.Additionally people watching televison sometimes implement what they have watched in their lives like violence, etc which is totally wrong. Some people take it to seriously such as if someone's favourite character dies they might start losing their mind. While televison can also affect one's health some people get so invested that they lose te track of time so the excess use of screen can also affect negatively on their eyes and increase the chance of getting blind.
However,if we talk about my opinion on this matter i would say that it totally depends on the individual how they perseive television. As we all now that television is for entertainment purpose only so we should keep it that way and if wee see televison their are many shows that also give beneficial lesssons to the society like making shows about domestic violoce, and olther issues in our society.
In conclusion, even thought televison has it pros and cons it sololey depends on the individual and how they percieve it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views on fictional television violence and providing a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the paragraph dedicated to the pros of television focuses heavily on listing different demographics ('house wifes', 'Childern', 'Elderly people') without extending the arguments deeply. The viewpoint is stated clearly in the introduction and conclusion, but the reasoning remains generalized rather than thoroughly explored. This corresponds to a Band 6, where all parts of the task are addressed, but some aspects feel under-developed or overly conversational in tone.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement with a recognizable introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion, fulfilling basic organizational requirements. However, paragraphing and mechanical cohesion are problematic. There is a frequent lack of spaces after punctuation marks (e.g., '.every person', 'free time.but their is'), and sentences run together awkwardly. Cohesive devices are used, but they tend to be repetitive ('On one hand', 'On the other hand') and simplistic. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical progression within paragraphs is hindered by repetitive lists rather than smooth transitions of ideas. This fits the Band 5 descriptors well.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary to communicate basic ideas about television and entertainment, such as 'entertainment purpose', 'fictional', and 'individual'. However, there are frequent spelling errors ('existance', 'sinve', 'wheter', 'negatvely', 'diadvantages', 'house wifes', 'Childern', 'enjy', 'relac', 'televison', 'perseive', 'olther', 'sololey') and noticeable word choice or collocation inaccuracies ('take it to seriously' instead of 'too seriously', 'lose te track of time'). The vocabulary is limited and repetitive throughout the response. These recurring errors and the restricted lexical variety place this at Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as conditional forms ('if we talk about my opinion... i would say') and subordinate clauses. However, grammatical accuracy is weak. There are numerous errors in punctuation, capitalization, and subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'their is a debate', 'television have it pros', 'every person whether it is and older person'). Run-on sentences and missing spaces after periods heavily disrupt the flow. While meaning is generally recoverable, the frequency of basic grammatical errors restricts the score to a Band 5.
