Student answer (Band 5.5)

In my opinion fictional violence portrayed on television has both positive and negative impact on human behaviour .The fictional violence can change human personality on both ways. However to discuss the positive impact of fictional violence on television has the ability to change public mentality .Additionally the society become aware that in how many situation a person it may include woman, man ,child or transgender are the victim of violence through television. Therefore many people are aware of that how and why most people become victim of violence .For example a woman is beaten by her husband thats how a violence portrayed represent the society that she is living in a abusive realtionship. Therefore many transgender are beaten and raped by people this is how we are able to aware from such kind of violence that take place in our society. u Usually there are some negative impact of ficitional violence on televiolsion. Most of the time some people or specially childrens or youngers dont even understand the main reason or theme of ficitional violence however they get negative ideas from the portrayed which is also worrying part for society.Morever most of the adolecent or the younger generation just follow the action of violence.Forexample in a fictional violence a man shooted his wife through gun if a child watch this sort of secene then he will obisiouvsly think its normal to use. i IN conclusion fictional violence has more benefits to aware people from different violence that how a person is suffering but on the other aspect children and younger must be educate tounderstand whatits actually convey to society through ficitional violence .Therefore they will not learn something negative from the fictional violence.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the positive views (such as raising awareness of real-world violence and abusive relationships) and the negative views (such as children imitating aggressive actions without understanding the context), while also providing a personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. The arguments presented regarding awareness are stretched and lack fully realised examples, relying on general assertions. Additionally, the reasoning regarding children's behaviour is basic. This aligns well with the Band 6 descriptor, where all parts are addressed with relevant ideas, but some elements are under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement, and the writer attempts to structure the response into a clear introduction, body paragraphs discussing both sides, and a conclusion. However, paragraphing is disrupted by stray formatting marks, and internal cohesion is frequently mechanical or faulty. Cohesive devices such as 'Therefore', 'However', and 'For example' are over-used or inappropriately placed, sometimes creating confusion rather than logical progression. Referencing is also weak at times, such as ambiguous pronoun use like 'this is how we are able to aware'. These features are characteristic of Band 5, where there is some organisation, but cohesive devices are inaccurate or overused.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate to communicate the main arguments, with attempts at less common items such as 'transgender', 'mentality', and 'portrayed'. However, there are frequent word-choice and collocation errors, such as 'change human personality on both ways', 'able to aware', and 'a man shooted his wife through gun'. Spelling errors are also noticeable, including 'ficitional', 'televiolsion', 'Morever', 'adolecent', 'Forexample', 'secene', 'obisiouvsly', and 'tounderstand'. These inaccuracies sometimes cause strain for the reader, placing the response firmly at Band 5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar and punctuation is weak. There are frequent errors in verb forms, tenses, prepositions, and article usage, such as 'the society become aware', 'in a abusive realtionship', and 'children and younger must be educate'. Punctuation is also problematic, with missing apostrophes ('dont'), erratic spacing before punctuation marks, and run-on structures. Complex structures are frequently faulty, causing difficulty for the reader at times. These limitations match the Band 5 descriptor for grammatical range and accuracy.
