Student answer (Band 5.0)
Fictional programs are meant for entertainment purposes. People prefer to watch this sort of things to make them stress - free and relax . Due to more inclination towards internet and technology , films and netflix series are popular . And to rocket the market , nowadays producers portray violence in their movies , shorts and series . According to my point of view, general populace are getting encourged and leading to violent behaviour. I think the film maker , must make the content wisely .
There are several reasons why this perspective has gained popularity the foremost being that , it always impact the minset in negative way .It is correctly said that , " What you see , is what you do ". For instance : when violence is screened and the audience is the children , it has very devastating effect on their thoughts and ideas . So whenever the kids are in that particular sitution where outcomes are difficult to obtain, they can use violent means as they got inspiration and ways from the animated shows. It can eventually lead to varying mind, harmful ideas and violent thoughts .
Shows are fun . Due to industralisation and globalisation, people are getting very busy in their hectic schedules to meet their demands of today's world . So fictional programs are therapeutic to them . As they can make an individual tension - free . For example : after work period , when an employee come home watch this shows and feel relax ,chill and happy which can lead to healthy and joyful life .
In my opinion , I think violent content must be banned by government and censorboard .As this are having many disadvantages over advantages . Regulatory bodies must take stringent steps and punishment against producers to make such harmful films , videoes and stories . Parents must allow 18 plus kids to watch such things. Good and strict parental control must be established to nurture bright future of this generation .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views required by the prompt, discussing both the perspective that fictional violence is harmless entertainment and the counter-argument that it encourages violent behaviour. A personal position is also stated clearly, arguing that violence in media encourages negative behaviour and should be regulated. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the second paragraph touches upon children and animated shows, but the points remain somewhat superficial and rely heavily on generalisations such as 'What you see, is what you do'. While the task is addressed in its entirety, the extension of ideas lacks depth and specific examples from personal knowledge, preventing the response from reaching a higher band. Overall, it achieves a Band 6.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing that separates the introduction, the two contrasting views, and the conclusion. However, cohesion at the sentence level is frequently faulty and mechanical. There is noticeable misuse of punctuation before commas, erratic spacing around punctuation marks, and awkward transitional phrases such as 'And to rocket the market' and 'Due to industralisation and globalisation'. Paragraph transitions feel abrupt, and referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in the phrase 'As this are having many disadvantages'. Although the logical progression is generally understandable, the mechanical cohesion and mechanical referencing issues place this criterion firmly at a Band 5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student attempts a range of vocabulary suitable for the topic, incorporating terms such as 'entertainment purposes', 'globatisation', 'therapeutic', and 'regulatory bodies'. However, there are numerous inappropriate word choices and collocations, such as 'rocket the market', 'varying mind', and 'work period', alongside persistent spelling errors ('encourged', 'sitution', 'industralisation', 'videoes'). The use of less common items often shows a lack of precision and control. While the vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey the general message, the frequency of lexical errors and awkward phrasing restricts the score to a Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilising conditional structures and relative clauses, such as 'when violence is screened and the audience is the children, it has very devastating effect'. Nevertheless, the text is plagued by frequent grammatical errors, particularly regarding article usage, subject-verb agreement ('this are having'), and punctuation. There are also sentence fragments and run-on structures that hinder fluency. Because errors occur with high frequency and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, the grammar performance aligns with the Band 5 descriptors.
