Student answer (Band 4.5)

First of all we need to understand about the word fictional violence, its mean something that shows in a movie or drama like fighting that not happen real time. I think you clearly understand it if not in below paragraphs i explain with example.

In this paragrpah, described to you how the fictional voilence is good or bad, and how they impace of peoples life.

So fictional violence having two aspects in movies or dramas they show fighting people killing each other, directors of movies and dramas add these scenes to make a thrill in it. But its depends on a watching persons how they response on it, like they follow same skills or action in real live that is a bad cause. In many movies and dramas they clearly write the are only for entertaiment purposes. People take it serious but its a not good habit. We should follow them only for entertainment purposes donot take it serious. While on the otherend few peoples just take this is normal only for entertainment purposes.

From my prospective, peoples should needs to give brief about it. These are only for entertainment donot take it serious. For example in our village a group of young boys watching a movie and repeat these fighting steps in real life like fighting with each other. Later on the fight goes to hamrfull situation. After a seeing the elders ones also appear in a fight that leads to a big damage for younger and olders ones. So i donot recommend peoples to take fictional violence in movies/dramas too much serious.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the views that fictional violence is harmless entertainment and that it encourages violent behaviour, and includes a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat superficial. For instance, the discussion of the two aspects is brief and repetitive, relying on a single anecdote about a village group of young boys rather than broader societal analysis. The position is stated, but the arguments lack sufficient extension and depth, which places this response comfortably within the Band 5 descriptor range where ideas are limited and under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The overall organisation is weak and lacks a clear, logical progression. Paragraphing is used, but the paragraphs themselves are poorly structured and unconventional in an academic essay format, such as the meta-commentary in the second paragraph ('In this paragrpah, described to you...'). Cohesive devices are either missing, inadequate, or repetitive, making the text disjointed. Referencing is frequently unclear, for example, 'we should follow them only for entertainment purposes donot take it serious' lacks clear antecedents. These features align closely with Band 4, where information and ideas are not arranged coherently, though the progression is slightly better than minimal.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive throughout the essay. The student relies heavily on simple terms like 'entertainment', 'movies', 'dramas', and 'fighting'. There are numerous word choice and spelling errors, such as 'mean' instead of 'means', 'paragrpah', 'voilence', 'impace', 'live' instead of 'life', 'hamrfull', and 'prospective' instead of 'perspective'. While the meaning is generally decipherable, the range is limited and noticeable errors occur frequently, which directly corresponds to the Band 4 descriptor where vocabulary is basic and repetitive, causing the reader some strain.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The response features a very limited range of grammatical structures, consisting mostly of simple and frequently faulty complex sentences. There are persistent, major grammatical errors throughout the text, including fragment sentences ('that not happen real time', 'like fighting with each other'), missing auxiliary verbs ('peoples should needs to give brief'), incorrect verb forms, and run-on sentences punctuated incorrectly (e.g., 'People take it serious but its a not good habit'). Punctuation and capitalization are also problematic. Because errors are frequent and constantly strain the reader's understanding, a Band 4 score is appropriate.
