Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is argued that, the abusive behavior portrayed on TV by artist considered as non-harmful pleasure, while some believe that it promotes violent conduct. According to my point of view, films or shows should avoid filming aggressive content that can trigger violent tendencies. In this essay, both the views are going to be expressed.
On the one hand, individuals think that the violent fictional stories donot posess potential harm to peoples. The movies filmed for fun which include few abusive behaviors can be neglected if it provides age barrier which can prevent development of unusual tendency in teenager's mind. In addition implementing such measures can help both production team and peoples who enjoy shows with mature theme. Action movies with intense fighting have age limit, this way elders can enjoy their prefered genre while childerns are protected from such scenes.
On the other hand, many believe that shows or movies with abusive scenes cause development of abusive behavior. Even though age restrictions are added to violent TV shows, youngers can access them easily in this advanced world. Constant exposure to Television which provides content with violent scenes may trigger behavioural change in young mind. For instance, it is found that the crimes done by youngers are more exposed to fictional violence portrayed on television since childhood.
In conclusion, TV portraying movies with violent behavior are believed to harmless by some individulas, whereas many argue that such exposure can cause major damage to an human's brain. I disagree on filming movies or shows that have abusive scenes and should not be telecast on TV.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views and presenting a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat limited and under-developed. For example, the argument that violent fictional stories do not pose potential harm is supported by the notion of age barriers, but this point is not fully extended with deeper explanations or comprehensive examples. Similarly, the counterargument regarding the accessibility of adult content in the modern world is raised but lacks thorough exploration. The position is visible throughout, yet the supporting arguments would benefit from greater depth and broader elaboration to reach a more comprehensive level.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear organisational structure, dividing the response into a logical introduction, two body paragraphs discussing opposing views, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately to separate each main idea. Nevertheless, cohesion is sometimes mechanical and referencing is not always completely clear. For instance, transitional phrases like 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' are employed, but internal cohesion within sentences occasionally falters, such as the abrupt transitions between clauses in sentences like 'The movies filmed for fun which include few abusive behaviors can be neglected if it provides age barrier'. The flow is generally understandable, but clearer cohesive ties between ideas are needed to ensure smoother progression throughout.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is minimally adequate for the task, providing a sufficient range to communicate basic ideas about television violence. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'behavioural change', 'fictional violence', and 'mature theme', but these attempts are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and word form. For example, terms like 'abusive behavior' are used where 'violent content' or 'aggressive scenes' would be more appropriate, and phrases like 'posess potential harm to peoples' contain awkward collocations and pluralisation errors. While communication is not severely blocked, the lexical limitations and inaccuracies mean the vocabulary remains restricted, with frequent slips in word choice that reduce precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer demonstrates a limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside attempted complex forms that are frequently faulty. There are frequent errors in grammar, punctuation, and article usage that can cause some difficulty for the reader. Instances of grammatical lapses include missing articles ('artist considered as non-harmful pleasure'), incorrect prepositional usage and verb forms ('crimes done by youngers are more exposed to'), and punctuation errors such as unnecessary commas ('It is argued that, the abusive behavior'). While a mix of sentence forms is attempted, the persistence of frequent grammatical inaccuracies across different sentence types means that control over more complex structures remains inconsistent.
