Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the recent year, some people think that the fictional violence which are portrayed on tevelvision is harmless entertainment, while others are against and believe that it encourages people to do violent behaviour. This trend will discuss about how it is not harmless for people and why other people think that it is giving courage to become violent. I strongly think that providing violent videos on television is much harmfull for younge generations.

On the one hand, the major reason is fictional violence portrayed on television is harmless for those who are very calm and polite in nature. Moreover, many community watch violent movies just for fun and learn something new from that movie. For example, people who love action movie they just focus on how they fight with opponent. Furthermore, they get learn how to aviod fightings in critical situation and handle with politeness. However fictional violent is made with the help of artifical intellegance to make entertainer for ordinary people.

On the other side, this trend is encouraging people to do violent in public place. In addition, many individual are very short tampered due to watching this kind of movies they learned how to take physical action. Nowadays, people are not only influenced by the violent videos, butalso they implement in their personal life which is very much farmfull for other community. For instance, if half of the society will become violent then rest of will think why should we follow our ethic because of that people will becoming anger day by day.

In conclusion, there are few individual who watch fictional videos on television for just fun and that are not harmfuling other, whereas some society mamber think it giving courage to do violent. I strongly believed that people are influenced by violent advertisement and they also implant in their daily life, this specially happens in youngster life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and state your own position: the introduction says you believe television violence is harmful, and the conclusion repeats that it can influence young people. The response also gives examples, such as viewers focusing on how characters fight and people copying violence in daily life. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The harmless-entertainment argument is difficult to follow because the claim that viewers learn to avoid fights is not clearly explained, and the reference to artificial intelligence does not support the point. The opposing view is more relevant but remains general, with no specific example showing how fictional violence affects behaviour. Explain each side more fully and make your opinion consistent and precise throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs beginning “On the one hand” and “On the other side,” and a conclusion. These signposts help readers identify the two views. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some links are mechanical or do not show a clear relationship between ideas. For example, “Moreover” and “Furthermore” introduce claims that do not clearly build on the previous sentence, while the artificial-intelligence sentence appears disconnected from the point about entertainment. The conclusion also repeats the two positions without bringing the reasoning together. Organise each body paragraph around one clear claim, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point; use referencing and linking phrases more precisely.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “fictional violence,” “physical action,” “influenced,” and “critical situation.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or forms make meaning less clear. Phrases such as “do violent behaviour,” “short tampered,” and “harmfull for younge generations” are not natural English, while “violent advertisement” does not accurately describe fictional violence on television. Spelling errors such as “tevelvision,” “aviod,” and “intellegance” also reduce accuracy. Build a reliable set of topic collocations and check word forms and spelling. For instance, use “engage in violent behaviour,” “short-tempered,” and “harmful to young people” to express your ideas more naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some longer sentence forms and attempt to connect clauses, for example, “Nowadays, people are not only influenced by the violent videos, but also they implement in their personal life.” However, complex constructions are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to understand. Examples include “the fictional violence which are portrayed,” “many individual are,” and “they get learn,” which show problems with agreement and verb patterns. The sentence beginning “if half of the society will become violent” also has an inaccurate conditional structure. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer sentences with controlled clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles, and punctuation when proofreading.
