Student answer (Band 5.0)

Television oftenly displays shows that portrayed fictional violence as a entertainment. Some people think it is harmless and had no negative impact on human mind.Others think that it has genuinely very bad influence on human mind and behavior.

I also support the statement that fictional violence is encouraging violent behavior. It has concerning negative affaects on human.

It has major three negative concequences. The first on is observation and modelling.People modelize everything that they see in tv shows. When they watch a film or tv show that depicts a fictional violence in such a appealing way then immature minds started to follow them unconsciously, they take character as a role model.

Secondly, people started to take all such tv shows as normal thing and they are totally unaware when they became hapitual of these violation. It is human psyche that when we se a particular thing again ang again our brain started to process as a normal. The process of desensitization started,at first they became afraid or feel bad but then became used to .

Last but not least, fictional violence portrayed on television is continuously enhancing aggression specifically in teen age group, generally in all age groups.Human mind process ,ore violation when we are used to see violation. Human brain failed to process normally while seeing such material for a long time.It disturbs harmone,in addition it is enhancing screen addiction.

Some people think that fiction violance is not real so we are enough mature to understand that so it would not effect out mind and behaviour in any regard.

But in my opinion fictional violance is more dangerous for human's behaviour then they think.Definitely, particular scene e.g,blood, fight, murder trigger negative emotions in human

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear opinion that fictional violence can encourage harmful behaviour, and you offer relevant reasons, including modelling, desensitisation and aggression. These points show a relevant response to the topic. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the opposing view is only briefly stated near the end: that viewers are mature enough to distinguish fiction from reality. It is not explained or supported with an example, while your own position receives more attention. Several claims, such as effects on hormones and screen addiction, are also asserted rather than explained. Develop both perspectives more evenly and support each main point with a specific example or clearer reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a sequence of reasons supporting your view, and a paragraph presenting the opposing view before your conclusion. Signposting such as “The first,” “Secondly” and “Last but not least” helps readers identify the points. However, progression is limited because the three supporting points are presented as a list, with little connection or development between them. The opposing view appears abruptly after the discussion of your position, and the final sentence ends without a complete conclusion. Some references, such as “they” and “such material,” are not always precise. Use clearer paragraphing to separate the two views and link each claim to its explanation and example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “modelling,” “desensitization,” “aggression” and “role model,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or spellings make parts difficult to understand, for example “modelize,” “violation” where you mean violence, and “human psyche.” Phrases such as “major three negative consequences” and “fictional violence is continuously enhancing aggression” are also unnatural or imprecise. These errors sometimes obscure your intended meaning, particularly in the discussion of the brain and hormones. Build a reliable set of collocations for this topic and check spelling and word forms carefully; precise, natural phrasing will make your arguments more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer structures, including conditional and subordinate clauses, as in “When they watch a film or TV show … then immature minds started to follow them.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in articles, agreement, verb forms and sentence boundaries can make the reader work to understand your meaning. For example, “Some people think it is harmless and had no negative impact” shifts tense, while “the process of desensitization started, at first they became afraid” joins clauses incorrectly. There are also incomplete or unclear constructions, such as “but then became used to.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses, checking tense consistency, articles and punctuation.
