Student answer (Band 5.5)
There is a considerable dabate going on whether fictional violence portrayed on television is harmless entertainment. In my opinion, fictional violence has a negative impact on society.
Violence has always been a problem of society no matter how small or less severe it is. Over the years the offenders have changed their pattern of violence a lot. it is becoming more and more heidious day by day. Some of crimes are often inspired from a film or movie just for fun. The young adoloscents do not understand the severity of the violence but try to copy the trends that are shown on television. For example, many young offenders say they wanted to look cool that is why they bullied others just like movies. Moreover criminals are often taking ideas from movies how to hide evidences after committing a crime. For example, there was a TV series called "Crime patrol" in India which showed how crimes can happen and destroy a person's life. But later on many criminals testified they got their idea from watching that TV series.
However, the main goal of this fictional violence was never to encourage others to commit more crimes rather make people more aware about their safety or just simple entertainment. Sometimes action films just serve entertainment and do not provide any type of messages and leave the audiances with pure satisfaction. For example, popular TV series prison break is famous for the main characters brillience not the violence showed in it.
To sum it up, I think despite being fictional any kind of violence leaves a sustained impact on the minds of the audiances which sometimes leads to greater violences.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear opinion that fictional violence has a negative impact, and you address both views: the first body paragraph explains how viewers may imitate violence, while the second notes that programmes can be intended for awareness or entertainment. The examples of young people copying bullying and criminals taking ideas from a television series are relevant to the discussion. However, the opposing view is only briefly explained, and the examples are asserted rather than explored or supported in detail. The conclusion restates your position but does not draw together the reasons. Develop each side more evenly and explain how your examples demonstrate the effects you describe.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding sentence. Transitions such as “However” and “To sum it up” help signal changes in direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from general claims about crime to imitation and then to hiding evidence without clearly connecting these points. Linking phrases such as “Moreover” and repeated “For example” do not always show the precise relationship between ideas, and some references, such as “this fictional violence,” are not fully clear. Organise each paragraph around one main point, then explain and illustrate it before moving on.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “offenders,” “severity,” “criminals,” and “safety,” and phrases such as “negative impact on society” communicate your position. There are also attempts at more specific wording, for example “hide evidences” and “sustained impact.” However, spelling errors such as “dabate,” “he idious,” “adolescents,” and “audiences” are noticeable, and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, including “inspired from a film,” “greater violences,” and “pure satisfaction.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning less precise. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for discussing influence, crime, and media effects.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause beginning “although” in the conclusion and a relative clause in “a TV series … which showed how crimes can happen.” Most ideas remain understandable, but grammatical errors are frequent enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to follow. Examples include the sentence fragment “it is becoming more and more…” after a full stop, the unclear construction “Some of crimes are often inspired…,” and “the main goal … was never to encourage others … rather make people…,” where the parallel structure is faulty. Capitalisation after full stops and punctuation around examples also need attention. Practise complete sentence construction and check articles, verb forms, and clause connections.
