Student answer (Band 5.0)

In today's rapidly evolving world, the issue of fictional violence has sparked a considerable debate, with opinion divided on whether it is binifical or harmful. While both sides of the arguement hold merit, I strongly inclined to disagree with the view that fictional violence portrayed on television is harnless entertainment. This essay will present compelling reasons and real-world examples in support of my perspective.

To begin with, one important reason of fictional violence that portrayed on television is harmless entertainment is the time pass. For instance, many people watch T.V just for their time pass to release their stress from their bussy work rotuine, so for these people fictional violence is a harmless entertainment. In addition, the individuals who watch these fictional violence stories on television just because their favourite character are acting in these stories, so they don't no the reason of the story. They just watch the series for their favourite actors.

On the other hand, some critics argue that fictional violence which portrayed on television encourages the violent behaviour because some people who watch these type of serials and they adopt this type of act in their lives. For example, in recent years, the domestic violence cases should be increase in our country because of fictional violence that portrayed on T.V. Through this many people encourages the violent behaviour. As a result , in most cases people should get died.

In conclusion, through, both the opnions hold merit because they have a reasons of their perspectives but , In my personal perspective, I strongly believed that fictional violence that portrayed on television is harmful because many individuals watch these type of series and adopt in their daily life, so in this regard, government should take solid step to stop releasing these type of series and make new stories of .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views and state your own position: the first body paragraph presents television violence as a way to relax, while the next argues that viewers may imitate what they see. However, the discussion is only partial because the reasons are brief and not convincingly supported. The claim that domestic violence cases have increased “because of fictional violence” is asserted without evidence or explanation, and the point about watching for favourite actors does not clearly show why the content is harmless. Your conclusion repeats your opinion but introduces a government ban without developing why this is the best response. Explain each view more fully and use specific, relevant examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable essay structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the shift from watching to relieve stress to watching for favourite actors is not explained, and the link between television violence and increased domestic violence is asserted rather than logically established. Some connectors are awkward or overused, including “Through this” and “As a result,” while punctuation around transitions is inconsistent. Build each paragraph around one clear reason, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “fictional violence,” “violent behaviour,” “domestic violence,” and “perspective,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions make the writing less clear or natural. Examples include “binifical,” “harnless,” “time pass,” and “bussy work rotuine.” Phrases such as “adopt this type of act” and “solid step” are also imprecise in context. Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe viewers as “imitating violent behaviour” and refer to “taking effective measures.” This would make your argument more precise without requiring unnecessarily complicated vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use subordinate clauses, for example, “because some people who watch these type of serials … adopt this type of act.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the argument difficult to read. In “I strongly inclined,” the verb “am” is missing; “the domestic violence cases should be increase” has an incorrect verb form; and “their favourite character are acting” has an agreement error. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, as in “time pass. For instance” and “behaviour. As a result.” Practise forming accurate subject–verb patterns and use shorter sentences when a longer construction becomes difficult to control.
