Student answer (Band 5.0)
There has been a argument that whether many violent fictions released on television is harmful or helpless. For me, I strongly believe that they don't really make people have combats or conflicts.
One reason suporting my opinion is that it is unrealistic.while many films recorded , using many violent actions, or many things from real life affecting of people's behaviours, many fictional films potrayed that it's hard to be cloned, or followed by people with concious thinking. Because it out of daily lives, and it is just in entertainment level. For instance, after enjoying a marvel's movie, most people often don't have any unusual behaviours simulating seriously actions in the films.
I realised that the reason why many people have pessimistic views about fictional violence in a particular film is misunderstanding. Because of the spead of many cautions about how harmful caused by letting children watch violent films. As a result, many people have labeled all of films displaying combats being harmful for everyone automatically, while unrealistic violence has few impact on people, even kids. For example, many people like me used to be absorbed in supersentai series, when they were young.
Overall, fictional violence have not had any recoreded serious consequence in real life, and I suggest enjoying films that you are interested in following, and being concious, and minding of everything on films as a kind of entertainment and learning source

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
Your position is clear: you believe fictional violence does not generally encourage real-world violence, and you give relevant examples from superhero films and the “supersentai” series. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the opposing argument is only briefly mentioned through concerns about children watching violent films. You do not explain why some people think fictional violence may encourage imitation or aggressive behaviour, so the response addresses the task only partially. The examples mainly reinforce your own view and are not developed with much explanation. The response is also 18 words below the required minimum. To improve, explain both perspectives in comparable detail, then support your opinion with a specific example and a clear concluding judgement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The reader can follow your main position, and phrases such as “One reason” and “For instance” signal examples. However, the overall progression is limited: both body paragraphs largely repeat the claim that fictional violence is harmless, rather than developing separate sides of the debate. Some links are unclear, particularly the move from “misunderstanding” to warnings about children, and the final sentence combines several recommendations without showing how they connect. Use one paragraph to explain the concern about imitation and another to present your counterargument, with clearer links between each claim and its example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “violent behaviour,” “fictional violence,” “unrealistic,” and “entertainment,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “pessimistic views” and “unusual behaviours.” However, word choice and spelling errors are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning difficult to interpret, as in “harmful or helpless,” “films recorded,” “the spead of many cautions,” and “serious consequence.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “films displaying combats.” Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, distinguish “harmless” from “helpful,” and use natural phrases such as “warnings about the effects” or “depicting violence.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “while,” “because,” and “when.” This shows some range, but complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the reader work to understand your meaning. Examples include “There has been a argument that whether,” “many violent fictions … is,” and “fictional violence have not had,” where articles, sentence structure, and subject–verb agreement need attention. The sentence beginning “Because of the spead…” is a fragment, while “it is unrealistic.while” has incorrect sentence punctuation and capitalisation. Practise building complete sentences around one main idea, then check agreement, articles, and punctuation before submitting.
