Student answer (Band 5.0)

many people believe that fictional violence entertainment programs on television are safe for individuals . while others have opposite opinion, because it leads to violent behaviour. because if the viewer is mature and aware , that those sence are fake and they only watch them to enjoy or kill some time , it would not affect them in bady way . while on the other side , a segment of society like teenagers and todllers , who watch this type of media . due to their immaturity they might believe those actions and even think it okay to do such thing and start to mimicing them . especially if they were seeking for attention from other people .in my perspective , those programs can really affect people in bad way , speciffically the vulnerable segment , if they dont get the enough attention from their parents or other relatives to controll and teach them what the good and the bad of it .

overall, there is large segment of people who preffer to watch action and fake violance movies and seriers . they enjoy them more because it makes them wethere scared or boost their adrinaline , which change their mood to be happy . for example , the serie of John Weck movies , recorded millions of views for each film . peole seems to love the character power , how he handel his enemis , his ability to defit them wether by using guns or just his hands . most of them watch it to enjoy and spend a good time rather than wanting to be tye main character.

on the other side , those programms are not meant to be for everyone . such as kids and teenagers , they are more exposed to be brainwashed by them without even noticing , because they are not mature and aware enough to realize what the good behavior wand the bad one . for example the serie of call of duty movies , is one of those programs who provide sences of battlefield violence , many of teenagers got inspired from it , lead them to buy som guns or even steal from their families , because there were a remarkable absent of control and directing from their parents of what they should consume . as result many individuals got hurt becuase on of them believed that it fun to that and they will be famous among people , due to their bravety and power .

in conclusion , many think television violence programs are not harmfull , due to the awareness of people , for watching them only for fun of spend good time . while others think they have really bad effect , becuas they lead to violence behavior especially teens and kids , due to thier immaturity . and thst why i believe some of them need to be controlled from thier parents to avoid such thing .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both views: adults may recognise fictional scenes as unreal and watch for enjoyment, while younger viewers may imitate what they see. Your opinion is also present, especially in the point that vulnerable children need parental guidance. However, the response only partially develops these ideas. The claim that teenagers were inspired by a film to obtain or steal guns is serious but is presented without clear support, and the explanation of why fictional violence might be harmless remains brief. The conclusion repeats the two positions rather than drawing together the reasoning. Develop each view with a clear explanation and a relevant, credible example, and state your position more directly throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an overall structure, with an opening, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main topic. However, progression within and between paragraphs is not consistently clear. The opening contains several ideas joined by repeated “while” and “because,” and the second body paragraph begins “on the other side,” although it introduces the opposing view after the first body paragraph has already discussed it. Linking phrases such as “overall” and “as result” are sometimes used mechanically, and references such as “those programs” can be vague. Give each body paragraph one clear purpose, order its explanation and example logically, and use a wider range of accurate links.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “fictional violence,” “violent behaviour,” “immaturity,” and “parental control,” so the reader can follow the general argument. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make meaning less clear, such as “sences,” “brainwashed,” “absent of control,” and “bravety.” There are also repeated general terms such as “programs,” “bad,” and “people,” which reduce precision. Aim for more accurate collocations and specific vocabulary—for example, “violent scenes,” “lack of parental supervision,” and “imitate aggressive behaviour.” Proofreading spelling and choosing words that fit the intended meaning would make the argument easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if the viewer is mature and aware” and explanations introduced by “because.” However, complex sentences are often faulty or incomplete, and frequent errors can make the reader work to understand the point. For example, “because if the viewer…” is an awkward sentence opening, while “many of teenagers got inspired from it, lead them to buy…” lacks a clear grammatical connection between the actions. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, verb forms, and punctuation. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check that clauses are joined correctly; then proofread articles and verb forms.
