Student answer (Band 5.0)

Television plays a vital role in shaping modern society.some people argue that fictional portrayed on television is harmless content, while others believe that it promote violent behaviour in society.I strongly agree later view.becasue young generation are mostly watchig content on different platforms which keeps everything in subconcious mind. On the one hand, mostly people are argue that it can not create any harm for people.because fictional stories are mostly making through hands which is awy from the reality. For example some of hollyword movies are created in different style which shows the human can be die, and the nasa preparing to build a city in the moon that create some doubt in reality. Therefore it can be very helpul for mind to learn knowledge from it. On the other hand, people are tying to convince others that fictional violence does not cause any harm,But according to reseracher the content aware the subconsious mind and its behave in future as a current mind system. For instance many enterprenure are trying to train their kids in high profile school due to certain factors such as to learn how to take risk, develop new ideas to make the mind set different from other people. Therefore the televison can create harm for the kids, adult and some times for elder as well.Consequently different countries have banned the fictional violance protrayed for adults due to high crime ratio and society. In conclusion, although some people have strong belif that fictional portrayed are just for entertainment and does not harm any person, but the societies have experienced on different occasion that it is veru harmful for young generation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You present a clear general position in favour of the view that fictional violence can be harmful, and you attempt to discuss both sides. However, the two views are not explained with equal clarity: the first paragraph gives an unclear example about Hollywood films, death and a city on the moon, which does not clearly show why fictional violence is harmless entertainment. The opposing view is also weakened by the claim about entrepreneurs choosing high-profile schools, which is not directly connected to violent behaviour. The conclusion repeats your position but does not resolve these gaps. To strengthen the response, explain each side’s reasoning directly and support it with relevant examples, such as whether viewers distinguish fiction from reality or whether repeated exposure may influence behaviour.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting views, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal this organisation. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because examples do not clearly support the point being made. For instance, the discussion of space exploration interrupts the explanation of fictional violence, while the reference to school choices does not lead clearly to the claim about violent behaviour. Some connectors, including “Therefore” and “Consequently,” are used where the cause-and-effect relationship is unclear. Make each paragraph follow a simple sequence: claim, explanation, relevant example, and link back to the question.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “fictional violence,” “violent behaviour,” “entertainment,” and “crime ratio,” so the reader can identify the subject. There are also attempts at less common expressions such as “subconscious mind” and “high-profile school.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled choices make meaning less clear, including “fictional portrayed,” “aware the subconscious mind,” and “fictional violance protrayed.” Some phrases are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “the human can be die” and “the societies have experienced.” Aim for accurate collocations and forms: for example, “portrayed in fiction,” “influence viewers’ subconscious thoughts,” and “society has observed.” Proofreading spelling and word forms would make your ideas easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a concession in the conclusion and clauses introduced by “because” and “which.” However, errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “it promote violent behaviour,” “mostly people are argue,” and “the human can be die,” which show problems with subject–verb agreement, verb forms and sentence construction. Several sentences also begin with a dependent clause after a full stop, as in “because fictional stories…,” and punctuation around clauses is inconsistent. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and complete sentences before adding complexity. For example: “Some people argue that fictional stories cannot harm viewers because they are clearly separate from reality.” Check agreement, articles and punctuation during revision.
