Student answer (Band 5.5)

Television showing fictional violence is harmless entertaiment to the society. Some people believe that such flims cannot effect an individuals, while other do not agree they believe watching such movie shows violence. This eassay will disscuss on both the veiws, with an opinion.

On one hand, flims with action are only an act, that is done on screen to entertain the veiwer. Nowdays, most of the movies has fights, such stunts are done with the help of VFX. In old movies, directors had to hire stunt man to do such dangerous action, which in result he or she get injured. In result, to reduce injury flimmaker have introduced it. For example, An action flims which has lots of stunts such as car flying over the bridge or an actor jumping from rooftops, these act is completed with the help of virtual fiction. Due to which an individuals will not suffer from any seroius injuries.

On other hand, some people believes flims showing virtual action will encourge violence in the behaviour. An individual with short temper might atempt to do dangerous acts after watching it on the TV. Although, flims is meant to be done on screen for entertaiment and to gain more followers. But there are some flims, which is has a very few actions and family orientated. Such movies should be watched, due to childerens will learn only what is essential to be learned. For instance, parents should watch educational, history based, and some flims with cultural values with their childeren. Also, flim series can educated people regarding how voilence action is done behind the screen, then an trust will be built in individuals who do not support.

In conclusion, I believe that movies are only for entertaining it is cannot be related with real world and if such education is provide then citizens who are against will change their pespective of thinking.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and state your opinion, so the response is relevant to the task. The first body paragraph explains that screen violence is staged and uses VFX or stunt performers, while the second recognises that viewers with a short temper might imitate dangerous acts. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the first argument focuses mainly on preventing actors’ injuries, rather than explaining why fictional violence is harmless to viewers. The second paragraph also shifts to recommending family and educational films, which does not fully explain the effects of violent content. Your conclusion says films cannot be related to real life, but this position is not clearly supported or reconciled with the imitation risk you mention. Develop each side directly and make your own view more precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On one hand,” “On other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined without clear links. For example, the second body paragraph moves from imitation to the purpose of films, then to family-oriented movies and parental viewing, without showing how these points support the argument about violence. Some linking phrases are also used mechanically or inaccurately, such as “In result” and “Although” before a sentence that does not complete the contrast. Organise each paragraph around one main claim and connect examples explicitly to it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “fictional violence,” “VFX,” “stunts,” “short temper,” and “cultural values.” This gives you a basic range for discussing films and their possible effects. However, the vocabulary is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response harder to understand, such as “entertaiment,” “flims,” “effect” where “affect” is intended, and “virtual fiction” for visual effects. Some phrases are also unnatural, including “gain more followers” and “an trust will be built.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and distinguish clearly between terms such as “fictional violence,” “visual effects,” and “real-world behaviour.” Proofreading spelling and word forms would also improve clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea in “An individual with short temper might attempt to do dangerous acts after watching it on the TV.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “most of the movies has fights,” “some people believes,” and “these act is completed,” where subject–verb agreement is incorrect. Articles and sentence construction also need attention: “with short temper” and “Although, films is meant to be done on screen” are not grammatically controlled. The conclusion contains a confusing structure in “movies are only for entertaining it is cannot be related with real world.” Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them using conjunctions and punctuation.
