Student answer (Band 5.5)
A certain proportion of people believe that bellicious activities showed on television is innocous amuesment. However, some people argue that it can increase the probability of violence among the people. This essay will analyse both views before giving a concrete opinion.
On the one hand, many people believe that entertainment is only for refreshment, and it cannot cause any dangers. To exemplify this statement, the majority of research shows that, movie or drama are mostly based on real world stories, and people can learn significant amount of experience by simple viewing its content. Yet, they sometimes displayed violence which can be harmful, but movies or fictions always contained the caution regarding violence acitvities, and they provided that violence activities are only for entertainment. As a result, people can know that it is only for the purpose of fun, and at the same time they can spend quality-time by watching fictions on television. Finally, considering above mentioned reasons, it is argued that ficitional violence displayed on television is not harmful.
On the other hand, many people think that the violent behaviour is being encourged by ficitional shows on television, and people espically children learn violent activites that are shown on television. For instance, people often blamed fictional violence that were being shown on television for deterioting activities from their children, and it is quite valid and so true. Children often learn from consuming content on televison. So, upcoming generations have becoming more violent due to content of televison, and it should be looked as a great concern.
In my opinion, considering both amuesment and negative impacts on society and children, and violent activities on television are harmful, and it influence our future generations. So, content should be made with more caution and it should be avoided to protect our society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and give a clear final opinion that fictional violence can be harmful, so the response is relevant to the task. The two sides are also separated into distinct paragraphs. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the first paragraph relies on broad claims about research and warnings in films, without explaining how these show that violence is harmless. The opposing view is more convincing, but the example that children learn from television remains general and is not supported with a specific illustration. Your position is clearest in the conclusion; make it explicit earlier and explain the reasons behind it in more depth to develop the response more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In my opinion” help readers follow the main stages. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Yet” introduces a point that does not clearly contrast with the preceding claim, and “Finally” does not signal a distinct final argument. The first body paragraph also moves from research to warnings, then to quality time without a clear progression. Use linking words only when their logical relationship is precise, and organise each paragraph around one main claim followed by explanation and an example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “violent behaviour,” “fictional shows,” “negative impacts,” and “future generations.” This gives the response enough relevant language to communicate its main ideas. However, frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices make the writing less clear and natural, as in “bellicious,” “innocous,” “amuesment,” and “deteriotating.” Some combinations are also awkward, such as “learn significant amount of experience” and “violent activities are only for entertainment.” Choose familiar, accurate expressions before attempting less common vocabulary, and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for the effects of screen violence would also help you explain the two views without repeating general words such as “people” and “activities.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “that,” “which,” and “before,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, attempts at longer structures often contain several grammatical problems. For example, “movie or drama are mostly based” has a number-agreement issue, while “people can learn significant amount” is missing an article. In “upcoming generations have becoming more violent,” the verb form is incorrect, and “it influence our future generations” has a subject–verb agreement error. Some sentences also combine too many ideas, making their structure difficult to follow. Practise accurate verb forms, articles, and agreement, and divide complex ideas into shorter, controlled sentences.
