Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this modern era, entertainment industry has grown in tremendously and the number of viewers has also increased. To create interesting content for the audience makers have started to include more and more violence in the movies, web series and shows to attract more viewers. I partially agree with the statement that it encourages violent behaviour. display of violent behaviour is not only encouraged by the fictional movies but also the surrounding environment, mental condition, multiple kinds of difficulties

To begin with, the violence displayed in movies and tv shows plays a significant impact on the viewers mind, due to the reason The audience mostly know that the content is fictional however the way the makers glorifies the violence in multiple ways and some people think it as a cool think and tries to do the same. For instance the CNN has done the survey that areas which have less exposed with movies and tv shows have surprising saw low number of violence related cases than any other areas. Additionaly , The violence behaviour in a person is also strongly depends upon their surroundings, because the surrounding builds a persons personality overall. In result the person develops the behaviour by learning the surroundings. For example in recent research it shows that the violent the surrounding neighbours is the violent the personalities become.

Furthermore, whether the fictional violence encourages or not, is also depends on the age of the viewer. To illustrate the age plays a crucial role in this because if a child is exposed to fictional violence at a very young age the his whole mind set build around that content at that tender age differentiating between reality and fiction is very difficult. for instance my younger brother who has been watching violent content from a very young age has grown as a very angry and serious about everything. finally, people who have financial difficulties or mental stress are seem to be violent. because to overcome those problems they might wrong ways. which results dangerous in their favour. A good example for this that the criminals sort to violence to overcome financial burdens

To conclude, I request the government to strict the rules over content creation and also rules over age limit And I also request the makers to be responsible for their work and work accordingly and reduce the action related to violence

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a relevant position—“I partially agree”—and discuss factors that may influence violent behaviour, including media portrayals, age, surroundings, and personal difficulties. However, the task asks you to discuss both views: the argument that fictional violence is harmless entertainment receives little direct attention, and your response mainly develops reasons why it may encourage violence. Several points are asserted rather than explained, such as the survey claim and the link between neighbours’ behaviour and personality. Your conclusion recommends stricter rules but does not clearly restate your view on both sides. To strengthen the response, explain why some viewers can distinguish fiction from reality and enjoy it without imitating it, then support each main point with a clear explanation or credible example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally group related ideas, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “To conclude” help the reader follow the sequence. However, the progression is sometimes difficult to track because several different causes of violence are combined in the second body paragraph, and the relationship between them is not always made clear. Some linking phrases are mechanical or do not accurately express the connection between ideas. For example, “In result” introduces a point that would be clearer as a direct explanation. Use one central idea per paragraph, connect examples explicitly to that idea, and make references such as “those problems” precise.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “fictional,” “violent behaviour,” “surrounding environment,” and “financial difficulties,” and you attempt more specific expressions such as “differentiate between reality and fiction.” This gives you enough vocabulary to communicate the main subject. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and word forms sometimes make the meaning awkward or unclear: “plays a significant impact,” “cool think,” and “the violent the surrounding neighbours is the violent the personalities become” are examples. Spelling and word-form errors, including “Additionaly” and “glorifies,” also reduce precision. Aim to learn common word partnerships and check whether each word has the correct form. More precise vocabulary would help you express the distinction between exposure, imitation, and actual violent conduct.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “however,” and “if,” and the reader can usually identify your main point. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries sometimes make reading difficult. For example, “the way the makers glorifies” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “the violent behaviour in a person is also strongly depends” combines incompatible verb forms. The opening also contains an incomplete sentence beginning “display of violent behaviour,” and several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement and punctuation before adding further ideas.
