Student answer (Band 5.5)

People have different views whether watching fictional things on TV is just fun other says It ispires viewers to do criminal activities. While there are some negative effects of watching fictional, i believe it is more beneficial for them.

There are numerous reason why sci-fi movies, cartoons are beneficial for us. One possible reason it Improve our ability of imagining things what is not happening in the real world. It can helps us in many ways in life, from solving critical math problem to decesion making in personal life by imagining the possible outcomes.According the Einstine, imagination is more important than knowledge. Another reason is, by watching good things by any fictional character can bring those thing that is not real, as a result people attain the courage of doing hardest thing at can make it possible. Fictional violance is just a way of entertaining people.

On the other hand, despoite the above arguments, it cannot be denied that fictional violance is not harming or influencing people to do bad things. Firstly, people who have dark desires, they definitely get influence by watching violance or brutal thing on TV. It is a pcychological fact that visualization give people a reason to do unusal things and thos peoples mind can justify their thos thing. For instance, some news shows us that teenagears are influenced by some particular movies to make drugs and making booms.

In conclusion, although fictional brutality brings some opparent drawbacks, I would argue that it is more beneficial for people to enterain and if its carry a carry a good massage on it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You present a position—that fictional violence is more beneficial as entertainment—and give reasons for both views, so the response addresses the main parts of the question. The discussion of benefits includes imagination and confidence, while the opposing view refers to people with “dark desires” being influenced and gives an example involving teenagers and films. However, the ideas are limited and often under-developed: the link between imagination and solving maths problems or making personal decisions is not clearly explained, and the example about drugs and bombs is vague and difficult to verify. Your position is also not fully consistent: the opening calls fictional viewing “more beneficial,” while the conclusion makes this conditional on carrying a good message. Explain the opposing view more fully and state a precise, consistent opinion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting benefits, a paragraph on possible harm, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some connections are unclear. For example, the move from imagination to “solving critical math problem” and decision-making needs a clearer explanation, while “Another reason” introduces a point that is difficult to distinguish from the first. Referencing in “those thing” and “their thos thing” is confusing, and the conclusion repeats “carry a” without clearly summarising the argument. Use topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “fictional violence,” “visualization,” “brutal,” and “psychological,” and you use some topic-specific expressions such as “decision making.” However, the range is limited and errors in spelling, word form, and collocation are frequent enough to make parts of the response difficult to understand. Examples include “It ispires,” “decesion,” “violance,” “pcychological,” and “opparrent.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “watching good things by any fictional character” and “make drugs and making booms.” Choose more exact expressions, check spelling carefully, and learn common word partnerships—for example, “violent behaviour” and “influence someone to commit a crime.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause beginning “although” and a conditional idea in “if its carry a carry a good massage.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in sentence structure and agreement appear in “One possible reason it Improve our ability” and “It can helps us,” while “people who have dark desires, they definitely get influence” has an unclear construction. Articles, plurals, and punctuation also need attention, as in “critical math problem” and the run-on spacing in “outcomes.According.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected supporting clause, then check verb forms and sentence boundaries.
