Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people think that the fictional violence portrayed on television is harmless entertainment. Others disagree and think that it encourages violent behaviour. Both of these communities are true by their perspective.
People who think that fictional violence viewed on television is harmless entertainment are correct from their point of view. Those people think that, it is an another way to demonstrate violated content without harmless entertainment. One of the examples are, animated series which have brutality in their show while keeping the perspective of youth as their viewers. Many people enjoy the storyline ignoring the violence but many people disagree for that.
On the other hand, people which the perspective of not supporting this type of fiction thinks that it encourages the violent behaviour among their viewers. They believe that it corrupts the mind and also their behaviour. One of the examples are, the childrens who are spoiled from their mindset by the inspiration of these violence which is portrayed in the television. According to my knowledge, parents should keep their children away from these violated content till a specific age, till they do not develop their own maturity for deciding what is the right decision.
In conclusion, I believe that these violence which is portrayed on television should be only available for teenagers or adults for entertainment purpose. But also thinking of those people who disagree to watch these type of content, a rule should be made that children under 14 could not watch these type of fictional content as many countries follow this type of rules which have a nice impact on their citizens.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You discuss both views and give a position: you recognise that viewers may enjoy fictional violence as entertainment, while arguing that children should be protected from it. However, the discussion is only partially developed. The point about animated series is relevant, but “many people enjoy the storyline ignoring the violence” is not explained with a specific reason or example; the claim that children’s behaviour is affected also needs clearer support. Your conclusion proposes an age restriction, but the position could be stated more directly and consistently. The response is 244 words, so it is six words below the required minimum; this limits the space available to develop your ideas. Add a concrete example and explain how it supports each view.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. The transitions “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the shift in argument, and the central topic remains consistent. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from harmless entertainment to disagreement without explaining the connection, while the second combines a claim about influence, an example involving children, and advice to parents. Some linking is also mechanical, with repeated “One of the examples are” constructions. Develop each paragraph around one main point, then connect the explanation and example explicitly. Clearer references to who “those people” and “their viewers” mean would also improve cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “fictional violence,” “violent behaviour,” “viewers,” and “portrayed,” so the subject is generally clear. There are also attempts to express more specific ideas, such as “develop their own maturity.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning awkward: “Both of these communities are true by their perspective,” “violated content,” and “spoiled from their mindset” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Repetition of “violence,” “people,” and “type of content” further restricts precision. Build a small set of accurate phrases for discussing media influence, age suitability, and audience response, and check that each phrase fits its context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “content which is portrayed on television” and a conditional idea about children’s maturity. However, errors are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to process. For example, “Those people think that, it is an another way” has faulty punctuation and article use, and “One of the examples are” has subject–verb disagreement. In “people which the perspective … thinks,” the relative structure and agreement are not controlled; “the childrens” also has an incorrect plural form. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and clauses before adding complexity. Proofread articles, agreement, plurals, and punctuation, especially in longer sentences.
