Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have successfully identified the main features of the table, including the overall upward trend and the breakdown of injury types. You also correctly highlighted the peak in 2006 and the significant percentage increases. However, the response contains some inaccuracies in data interpretation; for instance, you mention '2006-2006' and '1998-1999' as periods, which is confusing. Additionally, the final paragraph includes a subjective comment about the 'drawbacks of Great Britain,' which is not appropriate for an objective data summary. To reach a higher band, ensure all data points are cited accurately and maintain a strictly neutral, analytical tone.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The response is logically organized into paragraphs, with an introduction, body paragraphs for data analysis, and a summary. You use some cohesive devices like 'According to the table,' 'Additionally,' and 'Furthermore.' However, the flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing, such as 'From which the effect of crime was fluctuated' and 'From rising 1998 to 2006.' The transition between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing of data could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'illustrates,' 'anti-social activities,' 'fluctuated,' and 'respectively.' However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and awkward collocations, such as 'caused of the fatal injuries' (should be 'resulted in') and 'increased continuity' (should be 'continuously'). Some phrasing is repetitive, and the attempt to use more sophisticated vocabulary occasionally leads to errors that slightly impede the reader's understanding. Focusing on accurate collocations and avoiding word-form errors will help you achieve a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'total 864 cases were reported' (missing article), 'the most of the people' (incorrect usage), and 'others information is not mentioned' (should be 'other information'). Subject-verb agreement and preposition usage are inconsistent. While these errors rarely prevent the reader from understanding the main points, they are frequent enough to limit the score. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, article usage, and ensuring that complex sentences are grammatically sound.
