Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to summarize the data but fails to clearly identify the main trends or provide a coherent overview. The description of the data is often confusing, particularly the claim that there were 'no injuries' in 2006-2007, which misinterprets the table. The comparison between categories is vague, and the mention of specific percentages (e.g., 405% and 18%) is not clearly linked to the provided data points. To improve, you must focus on selecting the most significant features—such as the overall growth in slight injuries—and present them with greater accuracy and clarity.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is limited and often repetitive (e.g., 'If we analyze', 'If we go deep', 'If we talk about'). The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison between different years and injury types. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, logical focus that contributes to the overall summary.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, relying on simple terms like 'high', 'low', and 'number'. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'took growth' instead of 'increased' or 'on hight' instead of 'at a peak'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to demonstrate the flexibility required for higher bands. You should aim to use more precise terminology related to data description, such as 'fluctuated', 'peaked', 'remained stable', or 'significant increase'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('number of slight injuries are'), article usage ('the year 98'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, which hinders readability. While there is an attempt at complex sentence structures, they are often inaccurate. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency.
