Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main features and trends, such as the overall increase in injuries and the contrast between fatal and non-fatal categories. You included relevant data points to support your descriptions. However, there are some inaccuracies in your interpretation of the data provided in the image. For instance, you mention 2017 as the end date, whereas the table clearly ends in 2007. Additionally, you state that no data is available for the last year, but the table provides data for 2005-2007. These factual errors slightly detract from the accuracy of your summary.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The response is logically organized with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs that group information effectively. You use cohesive devices such as 'Turning to details', 'In contrast', and 'Additionally' to guide the reader through the data. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different aspects of the report. While the flow is generally smooth, some transitions could be more sophisticated to improve the overall cohesion of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the information clearly, using terms like 'fluctuated', 'peaked', 'modestly', and 'levelling off'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'illicit crimes occurred due to guns and knifes' (should be 'knife crime' or 'crimes involving guns and knives') and 'fatal casualties' (which is slightly redundant). Despite these, the vocabulary is adequate for the task and does not impede communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While many sentences are clear, there are several grammatical slips, such as 'data of the number' (should be 'data on the number'), 'in the Great Britain' (should be 'in Great Britain'), and 'Both the cases, serious and slight recorded' (missing a preposition or punctuation). These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your points. Increasing the frequency of error-free complex sentences would help raise your score.
