Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to summarize the data, but it fails to clearly identify and report the main features. The description of the trends is often confusing, particularly the interpretation of the percentage increases. For instance, the statement that 'medium injured Britishers numbers are more than others' is vague, and the claim that there were no serious injuries in 2006-2007 is a misinterpretation of the data provided. The overview is weak and lacks a clear, accurate summary of the overall trends. While the response covers the categories, the lack of precision in reporting the figures and the misreading of the table significantly hinder the task achievement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently interrupted by unclear phrasing and grammatical errors. While some cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'Firstly', 'Furthermore', 'Meanwhile'), they are often applied incorrectly or in a way that makes the sentences difficult to follow. The referencing is sometimes confusing, such as the transition between the discussion of fatal and serious injuries. The overall progression of ideas is disjointed, making it challenging for the reader to track the comparison of the different crime statistics over the specified period.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often inaccurate. There are numerous spelling errors (e.g., 'tabulated', 'effectivr', 'modrate', 'dobble', 'exageurate', 'tree') and incorrect word choices (e.g., 'Britishers', 'proportionally fall', 'efficient' used instead of 'times'). The student struggles to use precise terminology to describe statistical trends, relying on repetitive and sometimes nonsensical phrasing. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to convey the information clearly, and the errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding of the data being presented.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. There are issues with subject-verb agreement, incorrect tense usage, and awkward sentence structures (e.g., 'there has no-one who had serious injury', 'crime containe cummulative 405%'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and periods. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, they are often poorly constructed and contain errors that cause confusion. The control of grammar is weak, and the high frequency of errors is a significant issue throughout the text.
