Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all parts of the task, including the main features and comparisons. You successfully identified the trends for each injury category and included the percentage increases provided in the table. However, the overview is slightly weak; while you mention that crime increased, you could have more explicitly highlighted the contrast between the relatively stable fatal injuries and the dramatic surge in slight injuries. The data is generally accurate, though the phrasing 'number goes down from 80 to 68' is a bit informal. To improve, ensure that your overview synthesizes the data more effectively rather than just listing trends.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is logically organized into paragraphs, with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs focusing on specific categories. Cohesive devices such as 'Overall', 'On the other hand', and 'Whereas' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as in the sentence 'Which is the highest recorded till then', which is a sentence fragment. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer to previous nouns would enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'fatal', 'serious', 'slight', and 'percentage increase' correctly. There are some instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'happen in a crime which includes gun and knife' and 'never got lowered than'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To reach a higher band, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and avoiding repetitive structures when describing numerical trends.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. For example, 'injuries happen in a crime' should be 'injuries resulting from crime', and 'number of crime' should be 'number of crimes'. Additionally, there are issues with article usage and verb tense consistency. While these errors rarely impede the overall meaning, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your complex sentences are punctuated correctly to improve your accuracy.
