The table shows the number of fatal, serious and slight injuries resulting from gun and knife crime in Great Britain from 1998 to 2007 and the percentage increase for each degree of injury over the period.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)
The given data gives us the statistics of a data regarding the gun and knife crime in great britain. the distribution is classified into four parts. which are of Fatal,Serious and Slight injuries from 1998 to 2007including the increase in the percentage for each degree of injury over the period.
In 1998, we can see that the total crime was equal to 864. Fatal crime was 49, Serious crime was 162 and slight crime was of 653 making the total crime of britain.
In 2005, we can see that the total crime was way higher than the initial measure measured 3821. It incresed with a staggering margin of 342% since 1998. The changes were drastic as Fatal crime became 58,increased by a margin of 18% since the initial measure, Serious crime became 476, increased by a margin 194%, Slight crime increased by a shocking margin of 405% which in numbers 3296, the most increased out of the three crimes.
overall, we can tell that the crimes in great britain increased quite drasticly, out the three crimes.
