The table shows the number of fatal, serious and slight injuries resulting from gun and knife crime in Great Britain from 1998 to 2007 and the percentage increase for each degree of injury over the period.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The table provides data on the percentage increase and the number of fatal, serious and slight injuries resulting from gun and knife crime in Great Britain from 1988 to 2007.

Overall, slight injuries during this time period hiked constantly, while the number of fatal injuries declined from 2002 to 2007. Whereas, the number of serious injuries kept fluctutated between 2004 and 2006.

From the begining, the number of fatal injuries has remained lower than the rest of the serious and slight injury numbers. The higgest number of fatal injuries, which was 95 was recorded in year [redacted phone]. However, these numbers saw a decreasing trend from 2003 to 2007, with the lowest number of 49 recorded in 2005.

Secondly, the number of serious injuries gradually increased till 2004 but saw a slight dip in 2005 before rising again. The higgest number of serious injuries were recorded in 2005 to 2006 with 476 serious injuries, while the lowest number was recorded in 1998 with 162 serious injuries.

Lastly, the number of slight injuries has soared throughout the time period. It started with 653 slight injuries recorded in 1998 and reached 3296 injuries till 2007. The number of slight injuries have doubled during the time. Fat
