In recent years, through the internet, air travel, trade and popular culture, globalisation has rapidly increased. Many people believe that the increased interaction between nations through globalisation is a good thing.

Student answer (Band 6.0)
Golbalisation is definetly an intersting subject to discuss, throughout the past, nations had no way to communicate but books, you had to read a lot of books to learn about another nation and to feel connected to it, but now, you can simply call a person from the other side of the earth with a click of a button, no hassle, no travel, no huge cost.
Now those new means of communication has pros and cons, listed as such from my own prespective:
Pros: - reachability is now easier than ever, you can learn an interact with other cultures while sitting at home
- you can communicate with your loved ones who have travelled for any reason, it's now easier than sending post mails back in the day
- news from around the world have been accessible than ever, I can learn about the occuring war between russia and ukraine while sitting at home from egypt.
Cons: - the negativity spread easily, a lot of people are negative and they use the online platforms to spread their negativity around the internet, and you as a reader would blindly catch that negativity even if you're careful, these thing are inefectious.
- difference in opinions can lead to a rising hatred between nations, a lot of people when having different opinions, start cursing and offensing the other person or nation for no good reason, that leads to a rising hatred between the people of those two nations which could sometimes lead to wars.
In the end, globalisation has it's pros and cons, the thing we have to consider seriously is the way we deal with it and how we interact with other cultures so we don't be ignorant or offensive, which could later lead to a bad outcome.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You discuss both positive and negative effects of globalisation and make your overall view clear: it has benefits and drawbacks, and its effects depend on how people interact. The examples of contacting loved ones abroad and following the Russia–Ukraine war help make the discussion relevant. However, the task asks whether increased interaction between nations is a good thing, while much of your response focuses specifically on online communication and its effects. Some points, such as how online negativity might lead to conflict or war, are asserted rather than explained, and the benefits of trade, travel, or cultural exchange receive little attention. Develop fewer points in more depth and connect each one directly to interaction between nations to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a list of advantages and disadvantages, and a concluding opinion. The labels “Pros” and “Cons” make the two sides easy to identify, and the final sentence returns to your central point. However, the list format makes the discussion feel more like notes than a developed essay, and the progression between ideas is sometimes mechanical. For example, the shift from accessible news to online negativity is abrupt, while the link from disagreements to wars needs clearer explanation. Organise the points into connected paragraphs and use transitions that show how each idea relates to the previous one. Clearer references to what “these things” or “that” mean would also improve cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including topic-related expressions such as “communicate with other cultures,” “online platforms,” and “difference in opinions.” Some phrasing also conveys your meaning effectively, as in “with a click of a button.” However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural word choices are noticeable, including “Golbalisation,” “definetly,” “reachability,” and “offensing.” Phrases such as “catch that negativity” and “these thing are infectious” are understandable but not well controlled for an academic discussion. Aim for accurate spelling and more conventional collocations, and choose precise terms such as “accessibility” or “insulting” where appropriate. This would make your vocabulary more reliable and suitable for the task.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a contrast introduced by “but” and a conditional idea in “even if you're careful.” Most of the meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. For example, “those new means of communication has” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “news … have been accessible” also uses incorrect agreement. The opening sentence runs several clauses together, so its punctuation and sentence boundaries need attention. There are also issues with articles and sentence construction in phrases such as “learn an interact” and “so we don't be ignorant.” Practise checking agreement and verb forms, and divide long sentences into clearer units while retaining some complex structures.
