Student answer (Band 6.5)

Globalisation has been recently increased, through the internet, which is air travel, pop culture and trades nowadays. A lot of individuals believe that the increased interaction between nation seems great. My opinion completely favours the statement.

Technological advancement has been a vibe for many of us. As it has made our lives more convenient, knowledgable and cost effective. Through this we get a lot of information about special event, weather forecast, demand for product, business ideas, new law and other by which it's easier to plan schedules. For instance if somebody needs to sell his product online either in same or different county it is very much easier for them to get all the related information that is how to make a website, what are consumer demand which makes seller's life sorted.

Individuals like to travel very much especially in foreign countries irrespective of their age which is a great thing to do as it helps them to relax and distract themselves from hectic work life. This help them to explore the word and along side networking is something in which they get benefit and build international relationships. Technology also considered beneficial for the same as we can learn new language not as a master but the basics for communication and our convenience. One of the notable example is when me and my family was going for a vacation in France, I learned necessary vocabulary and sentence formation which helped me a lot along the journey and that was too for free.

To conclude, I believe internet is truly beneficial for globalisation spread and genuinely made our lives convenient in every possible aspect.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the benefits of globalisation and stating a clear position. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While the point about technological convenience is relevant, the second body paragraph focuses heavily on travel and personal experience rather than the broader implications of globalisation as requested. The ideas are present but lack the depth required for a higher band, as the arguments rely on personal anecdotes rather than a more analytical exploration of the topic. To improve, you should focus on more formal, academic arguments regarding economic or cultural exchange rather than personal travel stories.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate. For example, the transition 'Through this we get...' is a bit abrupt, and the connection between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'Technology also considered beneficial for the same', where the link to the previous idea is weak. Improving the variety and precision of linking words would help the flow of the essay significantly.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and sophistication expected at higher levels. You rely on informal or imprecise phrasing, such as 'has been a vibe' and 'makes seller's life sorted'. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'globalisation' and 'technological advancement', the range is limited. There are also minor errors in word choice, such as 'explore the word' (likely meant 'world') and 'not as a master'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more academic collocations and avoiding colloquial expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('Globalisation has been recently increased'), article usage, and awkward phrasing ('that was too for free'). While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic errors, particularly with verb tenses and prepositions, and try to incorporate more complex sentence structures with greater accuracy.
