Nowadays, globalisation has increased significantly with the help of internet, air transportation, trade and famous culture. Many individuals think that communication between countries through globalisation is a positive development. Although environmental issues has increased considerably. I believe that it is a good thing because it will increase job opportunity.

The environmental problems increased significantly due to globalisation. this is because many companies to increase their profit levels they do not follow the government rules. As a result, it cause deforestation, many animals suffer in that situation and it increase air pollution because employees use big machines for work. For example, many marble mining companies they use big motors to cut the forests and mountains to get the marble. Although I believe that it is a positive trend for people to get the opportunity in jobs.

The job percentage has increased due to globalisation. Many popular companies from developed countries are building their factories and workshop in developing countries because industries will get a cheap labour in manufacturing and it increase job opportunity for developing countries people. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position on globalisation. The ideas regarding environmental impact and job creation are relevant and supported with examples, such as the mention of marble mining and Apple's expansion into India. However, the development of these points is somewhat basic. The argument could be strengthened by exploring the nuance of the 'good thing' aspect more deeply, rather than relying on repetitive phrasing. The position is consistent throughout, but the conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesise the arguments presented in the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'As a result', 'For instance', and 'In conclusion', though some transitions feel mechanical or repetitive. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the internal structure of sentences sometimes lacks flow, particularly in the second paragraph where the connection between environmental damage and the conclusion about job opportunities is abrupt. Referencing is generally clear, but the overall cohesion could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect ideas more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. The student uses basic terms like 'good thing', 'big machines', and 'popular companies' repeatedly. While the meaning is always clear, there is little evidence of less common lexical items or sophisticated collocations. Some word choices are slightly unnatural, such as 'famous culture' instead of 'popular culture' or 'job percentage' instead of 'employment rates'. To improve, the student should focus on using more academic synonyms and precise terminology related to the topic of globalisation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'environmental issues has increased', 'it cause deforestation'), article usage, and sentence fragments (e.g., 'Although environmental issues has increased considerably.'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of full stops where commas or conjunctions would be more appropriate. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they indicate a lack of control over complex structures.
