Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this modern era, there are a lot of things which result globalisation has rapidly increased. Many individuals believe that it is a excellent thing the rose relationship between countries through globalisation. Both the view will be discussed in the ensuing paragraphs.

Examining the former opinion, the foremost argument is that in many nations local business increased through the internet, which results globalisation has rapidly increased. To explain this, through internet local markets purchase things on offers and sale it to high prices. For example, in India people buy more things from internet which has a great impact on globalisation. Moreover, due to popular culture globalisation has rapidly increased because people travel more these areas through air and spent more money on private sites. So, it is a another significant factor in globalisation.

On the contrary, those in the favour of latter opinion, the supporters would put forward is that the increased interaction between nations through globalisation is a good thing because through globalisation both nations economy is stable. To elaborate this, by trade between two nations maintain their economies due to fact that when a country have a great need of things at that time which nation help them is a symbol of love to them. Therefore, it is a excellent thing. For example, it is a great interaction between India and America through globalisation.

To conclude and offer my position, there are convincing arguments for and against globalisation. I certainly in the favour of former opinion due to some factors.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the impact of globalisation and providing an opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. For instance, the phrase 'globalisation has rapidly increased' is used multiple times without adding new depth. The arguments regarding local business and economic stability are somewhat vague and lack the necessary supporting detail to reach a higher band. While a position is stated, it is not consistently maintained or clearly justified throughout the essay, particularly in the conclusion where the stance remains somewhat ambiguous.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'To explain this' and 'To elaborate this' are used, but the logical flow between sentences is frequently disrupted by grammatical errors and awkward phrasing. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between 'popular culture' and 'private sites' is not logically explained. The progression of ideas is present but lacks the sophistication required for a higher band.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. The student relies heavily on basic phrasing and frequently repeats the same terms, such as 'globalisation', 'increased', and 'excellent thing'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'rose relationship' instead of 'growing relationship' or 'sale it to high prices' instead of 'sell them at high prices'. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of variety and precision in word choice prevents the essay from demonstrating a wider range of lexical resources.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('local business increased', 'both nations economy is stable'), incorrect word forms ('in the favour of latter opinion'), and sentence structure ('there are a lot of things which result globalisation has rapidly increased'). The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple or slightly complex sentences that are often poorly constructed. Punctuation is generally functional, but the overall control of grammar is inconsistent.
