Student answer (Band 5.5)
Internet have become so popular in the 21st century, almost every field have adopted it such as air, public transport , trade or e-commerce, and different culturer items too as domestic and internationally although it has given many advantages in connectivity world wide and boost the globalisation and I really admire this too. Here I am going to explain my views on it.
Nowdays, internet is become part of everyday for people lives. They connect on social media sites such as Instagram , facebook, twitter etc.. , video players such as youtube, tiktok and different kinds learning platform available too. these connectivity makes people of different nations or regions with same nation connect and some of them share there how they live and how their culture is. In addition we have e-commerce sites and apps available such as Amazon,Flipkart,Alibaba etc.. which helps to people buy and sell their vast range of products. so this means a lot to boost culturer diversity. For example a carpanter have made a beautiful carved chair in india which is carrying the hand indian culture in itself and he is selling the furniture on the Amazon. Suppose buyer from the USA liked the chair and he wants to order it. due to this the culture have shared among the individuals. The buyer will now know the indian based trandition is reflecting in the chair.
So there are very benifits of using Internet too. peopl Me would also love these days watching different kinds of movies on ott platforms such as Hotstar, Amazon prime , Netflix it's have variety of category on movies and shows on based of different languages and nations. Moreover people can change the subtitle too to watch any show in their language. For example my friend recently watched a movie named How to train your dragons on hotstar. It was about Vikings who lived before centuries so we got to know about them because of that movie. so it's just one example there are plenty of advantages of internet.
In conclusion, If we compare to ancient era to current time I would say that internet is blessing for us. for communication, know people outside from your country, culturer differences and many aspects. I really adminre this side of the internet and always will be.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the impact of globalisation and the internet, and a clear personal opinion is provided. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While the example of the carpenter selling furniture is relevant, the explanation of how this specifically relates to the broader concept of globalisation could be more analytical. The essay tends to list examples of technology (Instagram, Netflix, Amazon) rather than deeply exploring the implications of increased interaction between nations. To reach a higher band, you should focus more on the 'why' and 'how' of globalisation's effects rather than just describing the tools used to facilitate it.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, and there is a logical progression from the introduction to the body paragraphs and conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, phrases like 'so this means a lot to boost culturer diversity' and 'peopl Me would also love' disrupt the flow. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. While the overall structure is coherent, the lack of sophisticated linking words and occasional awkward phrasing limits the effectiveness of the progression.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are frequent errors in word formation and spelling, such as 'culturer' instead of 'cultural', 'carpanter' instead of 'carpenter', and 'trandition' instead of 'tradition'. The range is somewhat limited, relying on basic descriptors. While the meaning is generally clear, the repeated errors and lack of more sophisticated, academic vocabulary prevent the response from achieving a higher score. Expanding your range of topic-specific collocations would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Subject-verb agreement is a recurring issue, such as 'Internet have become' and 'every field have adopted'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas and periods. While the meaning is usually understandable, the frequency of these errors is high enough to cause some distraction for the reader. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common agreement and tense errors.
