Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the modern world, the globalisation has significantly rose due to easy travelling through air, by social network, trade and culture. It is widely believed that the increased interaction among different countries through globalisation is beneficial. The essay will discuss the benefits of the cooperation between countries. From my presepective it brings new oppurtunities for the people and raise awarness about different cultures.
One of the main reason is that the globalisation provides a considerable number of possibilities to people to live a prosperous life. It creates employment for talented people all around the globe, so these individuals can use this oppurtunity to demonstrates their talent and achieve their life goals. For example, many people with skills and creativity cannot succed in their home countries because nobody is interested in what they have, however when these persons immigrate to other countries where the people appreciate their talent and help them to surive and eventually give them better oppurtunity for a stable and wealthy life.
Other advantage of globalisation is cultural awareness, people know the culture and history of other nations when they move from one nation to other, so it helps to create a bond among them. Thereby, they integrate well in the society and help each other. For instance, Indian community immagrated to canada many decades ago, live in harmony with other immigrants because they accept their cultures and know about indigenous people, it helps the society to live a better life.
In conclusion, from my point of view the globalisation provides not just employment but also help people to understand their culture. In this way it broaden their horizons and gives possibiliy to live in harmony with others.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position on the benefits of globalisation. The ideas are relevant, focusing on employment opportunities and cultural awareness. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example regarding the Indian community in Canada is a bit generic and could be more deeply analysed to fully support the argument. While the position is consistent throughout, the essay would benefit from more nuanced exploration of the 'discuss' aspect of the prompt, perhaps by briefly acknowledging potential drawbacks before refuting them to strengthen the overall argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organised with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'For example', 'Other advantage', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by mechanical transitions and some repetitive sentence structures. For example, the transition 'Thereby, they integrate well' is slightly awkward in context. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would elevate the coherence of the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their ideas clearly. There are some attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'globalisation', 'prosperous', and 'indigenous'. However, there are several spelling errors (e.g., 'presepective', 'oppurtunity', 'succed', 'immagrated') and minor word choice inaccuracies (e.g., 'significantly rose' instead of 'increased significantly'). To reach a higher band, the student should focus on accuracy in spelling and using more precise collocations to express complex ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the quality of the writing. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the globalisation has significantly rose'), article usage (e.g., 'the globalisation'), and verb forms (e.g., 'helps to create a bond'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are persistent. To improve, the student should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and ensuring consistent verb tense usage throughout the essay.
