In this technological world, there is an ongoing debate about whether the rapid growth of globalization among all nations with the help of such as the internet and air travel, raises the question of whether this trend is beneficial or not. Some individuals argue that this change may have some drawbacks. In my opinion, global development would be more important for any nation. Both the views are elaborated in the subsequent paragraphs.

Increasing globalization with the help of different sectors can be seen as a positive change because International travel and the internet allows individuals to expand their businesses and ideas globally, breaking down barriers for expansion. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both the benefits and drawbacks of globalisation while providing a clear personal opinion. The position is consistent throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the benefits are supported with a relevant example regarding student exchange programs, the discussion on drawbacks is slightly less focused, and the transition into the personal opinion paragraph feels somewhat disconnected from the previous arguments. To reach a higher band, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more thorough exploration of the points raised, ensuring that the link between the evidence and the main argument is always explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. Cohesive devices such as 'Additionally', 'Nevertheless', and 'To recapitulate' are used to guide the reader through the argument. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical or the referencing is unclear. For example, the sentence 'Does growing global trade have kind of negative impact?' is a rhetorical question that disrupts the logical progression of the paragraph. Furthermore, some sentences are slightly disjointed, such as the transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph. Improving the variety and sophistication of linking words would enhance the overall flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There is an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary such as 'globalisation', 'economic growth', and 'market access'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'reduce partiality' (likely meaning 'prejudice') and 'involving in different culture' (should be 'involvement in'). The range of vocabulary is sufficient to convey meaning but lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. Expanding the use of collocations and more academic phrasing would significantly improve this score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'effects of globalization is' (should be 'are') and 'another nation history' (should be 'another nation's history'). Some sentences are also awkwardly phrased, such as 'there are many universities organize student exchange program'. These errors do not generally impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and refining complex sentence structures will be beneficial.
