Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which severely impacts the development of ideas. While you touch upon the topic of globalisation and mention economic stability and internet usage, the discussion is superficial and lacks the depth required for an academic essay. You do not fully explore the 'discuss' aspect of the prompt, nor do you provide a clear, sustained personal opinion. The ideas are presented as brief points rather than a well-developed argument. To improve, you must expand on your points with detailed explanations and relevant examples, ensuring you meet the minimum word count to allow for a comprehensive response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into short paragraphs, which is a positive start. However, the progression of ideas is limited due to the brevity of the text. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Another significant factor' and 'For instance', but they are somewhat mechanical. The transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is abrupt. To achieve a higher score, you should focus on using a wider range of linking words to connect your ideas more fluidly and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that supports your overall argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision expected at higher levels. You use some relevant terms like 'economic stability' and 'cashless payments', but there are errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'foster' (used intransitively without an object) and 'vertical' (which should be plural 'verticals' or 'sectors'). The expression 'made people life trivial' is also unnatural. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary to express your ideas more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. For example, 'utilization... has rose' (should be 'has risen'), 'people life' (should be 'people's lives'), and 'help to tickets' (should be 'help to book tickets'). Subject-verb agreement and tense consistency are areas that need significant attention. While you attempt complex structures, the high frequency of errors prevents the writing from being considered accurate. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
