Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the benefits of globalisation and providing an opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention economic growth and cultural exchange, the supporting examples, such as 'Indian companies can export medicines', are brief and lack depth. The conclusion is also slightly contradictory, as you mention 'negative consequences' but do not discuss them in the body paragraphs, which makes the essay feel unbalanced. To improve, ensure that your arguments are fully extended with clear explanations and that your conclusion aligns strictly with the points raised in the main body.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'Moving further ahead' and 'To explicate' are used in ways that do not always fit the context. Additionally, there are issues with sentence-level cohesion, such as the fragmented sentence 'Moreover, through internet and international coorperation and advanced technologies from other countries.' The progression of ideas is sometimes interrupted by these awkward transitions and incomplete thoughts, which hinders the overall flow of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'easy exchange or knowledge' (should be 'of'), 'Indian masses' (which sounds unnatural in this context), and 'become more interested in international lifestyles'. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'globalisation' and 'international trade', but the overall range is limited. To improve, focus on learning collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('many individual believe'), missing articles ('through internet'), and incorrect word forms ('Explore to foreign tradition'). Sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when you attempt complex constructions. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas and periods. To reach a higher band, you need to focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles and prepositions.
