In this contemporary era, globalisation has become a topic of considerable debate. A significant number of individuals argue that industrilization plays an effective role to build good relation between distinct countries as trade, culture and technology. This essay discusses both the viewpoints before presenting a valid persepective.
Commencing with the viewpoint of the multitude of people why they believe that internationalism has great impact over nations development. The first and foremost reason is economic growth. Moreover, educational opportunities rises, as individuals can study abroad with advanced technology and learn skills from professionals.
Despite the advantages of global integration, the drawbacks cannot be overlooked. The predominant concern is environmental damage. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both the benefits of globalisation and the drawbacks, while providing a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. The ideas are relevant and generally well-supported with examples, such as the mention of India's economic growth and the environmental impact in Delhi. However, some arguments are slightly under-developed; for instance, the point about local culture loss is mentioned but lacks a specific illustrative example to strengthen the analysis. Overall, the position is consistent throughout the essay, and the task requirements are met in a balanced manner.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. Cohesive devices such as 'Commencing with', 'Moreover', 'Despite', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader through the argument. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical or awkward, such as the phrase 'the multitude of people why they believe'. Additionally, some referencing is slightly unclear, and the transition between sentences could be smoother to improve the overall progression of ideas. Despite these minor issues, the paragraphing is appropriate and the central topic of each paragraph is clear.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There is an attempt to use less common items like 'contemporary era', 'cross-border integration', and 'predominant concern'. However, there are several spelling errors ('industrilization', 'persepective', 'growith', 'diappear') and some awkward collocations ('factories takes place in the delhi'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precision and proofreading. The range of vocabulary is sufficient to convey the intended meaning but lacks the sophistication required for a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('educational opportunities rises', 'factories takes place', 'integration have', 'lifestyles can makes'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor errors in sentence construction that occasionally distract the reader. The majority of the sentences are understandable, but the frequency of these small errors limits the score. To improve, the writer should focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage.
