Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this materialistic era, we all are surrounded by advanced technology and innovation. We are all connected to any individual through internet from any country he belongs. because this is the more easiest and accessible medium of communication in this world. Numerous people agreed that globalisation among different countries is effective and it is giving many benefits in many domains.
The internet is giving any sort of information to the world whether is important or not. From interaction , we get to know about other's culture and heritage of a country. The recent example which I want to mentioned here, that as my country Pakistan not played in FIFA which is know as football match which is famous all over the world. Even our individual know every players of every country which is just the reason of globalisation.
The trade among different countries is also massively increasing day by day. the main reason that consumers gets more choices at lower prices from surfing. For Instance, people in Pakistan can buy electronics from Japan that are not made locally.
On the other hand, every information which you are reading on internet is not true. Many people nowadays create fabricated news just to get people attention and for the views and it is causing mental hazards which is not beneficial for their health.
From my perspective, I firmly believe that internet is a double sword edged. It gives incredible benefits but it can lead to drawbacks and as a result it can cause mental disorders.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the benefits of globalisation and providing a personal opinion. However, the development is uneven. While the points regarding trade and cultural exchange are relevant, the argument shifts focus heavily toward the internet rather than the broader concept of globalisation. The conclusion is somewhat abrupt, and the discussion of 'mental hazards' is not clearly linked back to the prompt's core theme of globalisation, making the argument feel slightly tangential. To improve, ensure that every paragraph directly supports the central thesis regarding the impact of globalisation.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is often hindered by awkward transitions and sentence structure. For example, the shift from the internet to trade is abrupt. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'For Instance' and 'On the other hand', but they are sometimes applied mechanically or incorrectly (e.g., 'the recent example which I want to mentioned here'). The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of ideas. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'mental hazards' instead of 'mental health issues' or 'double sword edged' instead of 'double-edged sword'. Some collocations are unnatural, such as 'individual know every players'. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'globalisation' and 'trade', the range remains limited, and the errors occasionally cause slight confusion for the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are attempts at complex sentences, they are frequently marred by grammatical errors, such as 'because this is the more easiest' (double comparative) and 'as my country Pakistan not played' (missing auxiliary verb). Punctuation is inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalization. Frequent errors in subject-verb agreement and article usage are present throughout the text. To reach a higher band, the student needs to focus on mastering basic sentence construction and reducing the frequency of errors that impede clarity.
