Student answer (Band 5.0)

Well, in recent years through the internet, air travel, trade and popular culture, globalisation has rapidly increased

There are is both positive and negative consequences some people says the globalisation with the richest countries is great because its automatically enhance our country economy and reputation in the world that is the great point because if you do not build relation with other countries over the world it would be harmful because sometime your country economy going to down due to flood or any bad incident in that time you feel ye are needed some richest country relationship may they can support you

Example:

back in the 2022 Pakistan had bad time in the economy due to flood many organisations was closed in that time Pakistan had relation with china the chine gave the support to Pakistan

If we talk about negative affect of globalisation it was like Pakistan had relationship with USA in the 2023 USA President force to Pakistan to allow him to take the military action in the Pakistan that was the bad thing of this because if any country give the permission to other country to control their army it was shameful thing for the country and then that country loose their reputation

In my opinion we should build connection with those country who know how treat other countries how give them reputation and if you are in the some bad situation they should available for you to support you and give the hundred percent to push up you .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both positive and negative aspects of globalisation. However, the development is limited and lacks depth. While you provide examples regarding Pakistan's economy and relations with China and the USA, the arguments remain somewhat superficial and rely on personal anecdotes rather than a broader analysis of the topic. The position is clear, but the explanation of why these interactions are 'good' or 'bad' is underdeveloped. To improve, ensure you explore the implications of globalisation more thoroughly, perhaps by discussing cultural exchange or environmental impacts, and provide a more balanced, academic perspective rather than focusing solely on specific political events.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the logical progression is often hindered by a lack of cohesive devices. Transitions between sentences are frequently missing or repetitive, making the flow feel disjointed. For example, the transition 'Example:' is used abruptly, and the connection between the positive and negative points is weak. The use of referencing is sometimes unclear, which forces the reader to work harder to understand the intended meaning. To improve, use a wider range of linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast', and 'nevertheless' to connect your ideas more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'good thing', 'bad thing', and 'relationship'. There are also instances of incorrect word choice, such as 'automatically enhance our country economy' (should be 'enhance our country's economy') and 'negative affect' (should be 'negative effect'). While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of precision and the absence of more sophisticated, topic-specific vocabulary (e.g., 'interdependence', 'economic integration', 'sovereignty') restrict the score. Focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic terminology to express your ideas more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('some people says', 'many organisations was closed'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, making them difficult to parse. For instance, the sentence starting with 'if you do not build relation' is overly long and lacks necessary commas. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
