Student answer (Band 6.0)

I , totally agree with the fact that through the internet, air travel, trade and popular culture , globalization has increased through the interaction between nations. There are several reasons for this and several examples supporting this .

Globalization simply means interaction between nations in terms of trade or any buisness that leads to increment in involved nation's GDP. Internet plays a major function in globalization. Through internet advertisement and publications had made much easier for people . It gets easier to influence customers for advertisement of their goods. Through air transportation, we can easily transport our goods to other country safely. Trade has also been proved significant factor behind globalization. Because through trade only nations can fulfill the requirements of those goods that are not available in their country. Or they can also sell their goods to other countries.

By giving relevant examples will help to get it clearly. In India , Indian spices like Dried red chillies, black pepper , cloves, asofoetia , Bay leaves , turmeric, cumin powder etc is cultivated in large quantities. Foreign countries need Indian spicies to store meat and its items for a long time. So the trade between the foreign countries and India has been continued from centuries. Same as production of petroleum is more in arabian countries like Dubai, Iraq , Iran etc .So they export petroleum to America and Asian countries. Talking about China, it is exporting plastic items all over the globe

It ultimately increases GDP of an individual nation .Besides GDP, it also helps in improving relation between the nation. At the end it's advantages outweighs disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the benefits of globalisation and providing a clear opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention trade and the internet, the explanation of how these factors lead to globalisation is basic. The examples provided, such as Indian spices and petroleum exports, are relevant but could be better integrated to support the argument more persuasively. The conclusion is brief and lacks a summary of the main points. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea that directly links back to the prompt's core question regarding the positive impact of increased interaction between nations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'Through' at the start of sentences. Some transitions between ideas are abrupt, particularly when moving from the definition of globalisation to the examples. The logical progression is present but could be smoother with a wider variety of linking words and better referencing. For instance, the transition between the discussion of the internet and air transport feels disjointed. Improving the flow between sentences would significantly enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate to communicate your ideas, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and minor errors, such as 'buisness' (spelling), 'increment in involved nation's GDP', and 'spicies'. You rely on basic terminology and struggle with collocations, such as 'made much easier for people' or 'trade... has been continued from centuries'. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more sophisticated vocabulary and ensuring correct word forms and collocations. Expanding your range to include more academic or topic-specific terminology would also be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'Internet plays a major function' (missing article), 'advertisement and publications had made much easier' (incorrect verb tense/structure), and 'Indian spices... is cultivated' (subject-verb agreement error). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to limit the score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement, correct article usage, and sentence variety will help you improve your grammatical accuracy and range.
