Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the benefits of globalisation, but the development of ideas is limited. While you mention internet communication and air travel, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. For example, the point about students learning about other cultures is mentioned twice in different ways. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or explore the potential drawbacks to provide a more balanced discussion, as the prompt asks you to 'discuss' the view. Your position is clear, but the supporting evidence needs to be more substantial and less generalised to fully develop your argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'another significant reason' and 'furthermore' are used, but the transitions between sentences are sometimes abrupt. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'a one nation can easily transport anything from air', which lacks logical flow. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly improve the logical progression of your ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is quite repetitive and lacks precision. You frequently use basic phrases like 'good way', 'easy life', and 'good development'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'acerate in globalization' (which is unclear) and 'a one student'. To improve, you should aim to use more sophisticated vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'interconnectivity', 'economic integration', or 'cultural exchange'. You should also focus on using words in their correct grammatical context to avoid awkward phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include incorrect article usage (e.g., 'a one nation', 'a one student'), subject-verb agreement errors (e.g., 'Majority of individual thinks'), and awkward sentence construction. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic articles and plurals would be highly beneficial.
