Student answer (Band 5.0)

During the recent years, yes the globalisation did rapidly increased through the internet, air travel, trade and popular culture. Because multiple people believe that it rose the interaction between nation through globalisation is a helpful thing. In this I will let you know the advantages and disadvantages of the globalisation. In addition many countries can contact eachother from internet and communicate during wars, the refugees during the floods or earthquakes the countries communicate or give space shelter homes to them until it gets better.

On the one hand, the globalisation has undoubtedly helped improved through internet, Aur travel and popular culture. Because it helps us to communicate with the other nations through globalisation it encouraged us to build relations good between other’s countries. For example Pakistan and china has good relations through Internet, Air travel and trade different things from china to Pakistan and also popular culture usually people follow when they travel to china or Pakistan.

On the other hand, it really didnt improved our relationships with other countries it’s because of the different culture, religion and different norms. Moreover, it’s because of the many countries doesnt supply the things/ food to many countries and that didnt help them to increase the interaction between them. Many nations refuses to accept the ideas of other nations which increases hatred between them.

For example, Pakistan and America has very weak relationships because of the past events which America refuses to have good terms with Pakistan.

In my opinion, we all should respect and support each nation with kindness and thats how the globalisation with increase more within the world who doesn’t support their back.

The conclusion, the globalisation can make interaction between nations more complicated but with mindfully, we all should accept and be productive about it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the impact of globalisation and providing an opinion. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you mention advantages like communication during crises and trade, the arguments are often repetitive or lack depth. For example, the explanation of 'popular culture' is vague and does not clearly link back to the prompt's core theme. The position is stated but lacks a sophisticated, cohesive argument throughout the essay. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-supported idea that directly answers the 'discuss' and 'opinion' components of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the logical progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by awkward phrasing and a lack of effective cohesive devices. Transitions like 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' are used, but the sentences following them often fail to develop the intended contrast clearly. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'who doesn’t support their back', which makes the conclusion difficult to follow. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each sentence flows naturally from the previous one will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive. You rely heavily on the words provided in the prompt (e.g., 'globalisation', 'internet', 'air travel') rather than demonstrating a wider range of lexical items. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'build relations good' instead of 'build strong relations' and 'supply the things/food' which is too informal for an academic essay. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary and academic collocations to express your ideas more fluently.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('globalisation did rapidly increased'), incorrect verb tenses, and awkward sentence structures ('the globalisation can make interaction between nations more complicated but with mindfully'). The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple or slightly flawed complex sentences. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalization. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement and tense consistency will help you achieve a higher score.
