Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the benefits of globalisation and providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention trade and tourism, the arguments remain at a surface level. For example, the claim that trade profits are 'equally divided' between nations is a broad generalisation that lacks nuance. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific, analytical examples rather than listing general benefits. The conclusion is also repetitive, merely restating points already made without synthesising the argument effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Additionally' and 'In conclusion' to link ideas. However, the progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical. For instance, the transition between the internet and trade in the second body paragraph feels abrupt. Furthermore, some referencing is unclear, such as 'the internet is a factor because of which globalisation is increasing', which is phrased awkwardly. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on simple, repetitive phrasing such as 'good thing', 'good relation', and 'increasing rapidly'. There are also some minor collocation issues, such as 'economical stabilities' (should be 'economic stability') and 'people are more visiting' (should be 'people are visiting more'). To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated topic-specific vocabulary related to international relations and economic integration, and avoid overusing basic adjectives like 'good'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the quality of the writing. Common issues include article usage ('the globalisation', 'the air travels'), subject-verb agreement ('the trade profit... are'), and awkward phrasing ('the internet is a factor because of which...'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your points, they indicate a lack of control over more complex grammatical structures. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles would significantly improve your accuracy.
